I carried Triss to her bed carefully. She was light and felt fragile as if one drop would break every bone in her body. Her body was a light shade of purple. I bit my lip as I sat her on the edge of the bed. I quickly grabbed another towel and slowly dried her off.
I noticed a dark purple and brown bruise on her leg; then another one on her stomach but it was huge, a couple on her rib cage, and on her arms. I carefully dried them before letting my eyes meet hers. Her hair was in front of her face so I pushed it behind her ears and smiled.
She sat there looking straight through me as it I wasn’t even there. "Triss" I said softly as I knelt on the ground infront of her face. Her eyes became ore alert and I took her hands in mine. She hummed as a yes and I kissed her forehead slowly. "What has happened?" I mumbled with my lips still on her forehead. She shook her head and pulled away.
"I can't do it" she said softly. I took the hair band off her wrist and carefully tied her hair back into a pony tail.
I looked up at him when he finished pulling my hair into the pony tail. He smiled softly before sitting next to me. "Clothes" I said softly but my voice cracked so it turned out more of a croak. He nodded and quickly ran out to his room, grabbed sweatpants and a blink 182 t-shirt and sat them next to me.
I pointed to a draw and he got up and grabbed undies out for me. He giggled at the ones he picked and sat them down next to me. They were black ones with pink writing that said 'dayyum'. He stood up and turned around so I could put them on. I struggled with the pants son he helped me with them.
He slid the shirt over my head and pulled my arms through gently. "How long do you think you were in the shower for?" Luke asked quietly as he tucked me into my bed and laid next to me. I shrugged "Five or ten minutes?" I said but came out as a question. He shook his head "Three hours, I'm surprised you aren't burnt to a crisp" he said quietly but chuckled.
I nodded slowly and he smiled "what are you thinking?" he asked. To be honest I didn’t know how to tell him what I was thinking. I wanted to just curl into a ball and scream and cry until the pain was gone. I wanted to die but even though I did I was scared to but I have nothing to lose, I have nothing to give up except for my life, I want to be with my parents. I wonder what my dad would have been like if he was still alive.
If mum would still be alive, if we would be a happy family. If I would have even met the boys, if id be sitting here in Lukes house next to him, next to the person who had bullied me for years, who made me become depressed how someone like him could be so mean, yet so sweet and caring.
In the end I just shrugged and shook my head. I wanted to tell him but how can you tell someone that you want to die. Its not that simple. "are… are those bruises from me?" he stuttered. I nodded slowly and he looked away. "I'm sorry" he said and got up. I shrugged "to be honest I just want to sleep" I told him. He nodded and left the room leaving the door open.
I heard footsteps and someone ask Luke what was wrong, then the front door slam shut. I rolled over and turned off the lamp that was turned on. There was a small knock at my door and Calum walked in smiling. "Hi" he said softly and sat on the edge of the bed. I smiled in return but I don’t think I smiled, I think I just looked at him. "Everything okay?" he asked. I bit my lip and shook my head but I sat up.
"Luke?" he asked and I shook my head but nodded. He sighed and rubbed my arm "Family?" he asked. It caused me to laugh for a while. He looked at me weirdly but said nothing. "What family? My family is dead, I have no one" I told him. He gulped and looked uncomfortable. "I'm sorry" he said quietly and I shook my head "don’t be".

Calum and I talked for the rest of the night. I told him everything and everything I was feeling. It was hard to tell him but I did. Luke still isn't home although it is only 9:43am. I sat at the counter with the other boys eating cereal. It was quiet but it wasn't a bad quiet. "So uh, Ruby is coming over today to watch us record our first song and hit it to YouTube and iTunes" Ashton said breaking the silence. He looked over at me making eye contact when he aid Ruby but I looked away rolling my eyes.
The door slammed open and then shut. We all turned our heads to a stoned and drunk off his face Luke. He looked at us and grinned "hello fellow friends and Triss" he smirked. I kept my head down and slipped off the chair. I took my bowel and Michaels to the sink and washed them out before going to the lounge room and grabbing my handbag.
"Can I borrow one of your cars?" I asked them. Calum nodded and tossed me his car keys "The pretty blue one park on the curb" he said. I thanked him before leaving. I unlocked his car and got in turning the ignition on. I buckled myself up before driving away from the house. I needed to go somewhere but I had no idea where. I didn’t know the town well since I never left. I was always in the same area.
I ended up at an abandoned carnival park thing. It had a lot of rides like a carousel , bumper cars, vomittron, sling shot, and of course a Ferris wheel. I got out the car and climbed the fence. The carnival was on the other side of town. There was no houses around and it was a ghost town. There was literally no one but a small petrol station two blocks away.
I walked around for a while until I got to the Ferris wheel. I smiled a little because it reminded me of the book Divergent. I shook my head and looked up at it. The carts were small, white but rusting away. Each cart had a different coloured top though; blue, pink, purple, green. The controls where a metre away but I didn’t dare turn them on.
I continued to walk around letting my black high-top converse hit the rocks on the ground. "You shouldn’t be in here alone" I heard someone say. I turned around to see a blonde haired boy leaning against the carousel picking at his nails. I put my hand on my hip and cocked my head, squinting to see him better. "Yeah? And why is that?" I asked him. I saw him smirk as he started to walk closer.
"It isn't safe, you should know that Triss" his words made me stumble a little. "How do you know my name?" I asked him and he smirked. He waited until he was a metre away from me and he stopped. "Well, I know your brother" he paused and began to walk in a circle around me. I gulped "you do? How?" I asked. He fixed his glare on me but smiled. "ah, ah, ah, save the questions for later" he said while cracking his knuckles.
He had bright green eyes and as much as I hated to admit it he was sort of cute. "anyway as I was saying, I know your brother and well he told me he had a run in with a few boys the other day telling him to leave you alone… so he is, its me that isn't going to" he said stepping closer to me. I stepped away and hit my back on someone. "Me and my brother, I mean" he said. I looked behind me and saw a boy that looked just like him but older. "can I at least know your name?" I asked.
He laughed and looked at his brother. His brother shoved me to the ground and pointed something sharp into it. "you know who I am Triss, ni-night" he said before darkness filled my eyes and my body went limp. I had no control over it.
