My Poetic Dumping Ground

What I write that's not my novel

1. Fuffilment [Sonnet]

The concept of higher purpose drives us

It’s what keeps us going when times are tough

It is also the source of so much fuss

The answer, man will never have enough

Now, forgive me if this might seem uncouth

But, you cannot look me straight in the eye

And deny death as the ugliest truth

And that life as the most beautiful lie

Eternal life is a rather nice thought

Without playing the game you cannot win

To me, however, the thought can’t be bought

That homosexuality’s a sin

And what even matters when we can’t trust

The fact we’re anything more than stardust?
