"Jasey, say you mean it!" I sung at the top of my voice collecting up the golf balls that had been dropped on there way to the hut.
"Could you please be quiet, my grandson is talking to me on the phone!" Mr Hemmings from across the road shouted at me.
"It's my Dad's golf coarse so, no!" I replied. I carried on singing.
*later that day*
"Yes, she can be quite rude sometimes, yes I understand he's come over from Australia, ok yes I'll tell her, I'm so sorry," my mum said on the phone.
"Mr Hemmings?" I asked
"Go and say sorry to him now!" She shouted, pushing me out the door.
I crossed the road adjusting my high pony tail and rung on the grumpy mans doorbell.
"Go get the door Luke!" A voice inside said. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
"Hi, what do you want?" An Australian accent said. I looked up at a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes the colour of the ocean.
"Uh, I was going to talk to Mr Hemmings" I replied.
"Oh, are you that girl from across the road?" He asked. I almost went weak at the knees with how good looking he was, and his strong accent made me fall for him even more!
"Yeah, I'm Jasey-Rae" I replied.
"Your the girl who was singing when my grandad was ringing me!"
"Sorry about that" I said
"Don't worry, your a good singer." He replied. He looked at me straight in the eyes
"Who is it Luke?" A voice from inside said breaking our moment
"It's Jasey-Rae from across the road!" He replied
"Bring her in then" I heard mr Hemmings shout
"Sorry, that was so rude of me. Come in" Luke replied
"Don't worry mate, I'm used to it." I laughed stepping in as Luke stood a side for me.
