9. chapter 9
Thomas was leaving tomorrow. I just couldn't bear to think about life without him.
He was in our room packing while I was in the kitchen making dinner. It was going to be a feast of chicken, baked potatoes, rolls, green beans soaked with butter, and wine.
I felt a pair of arms slide around my waist from behind.
"I sure am gonna miss your cooking sweetie" he said.
That's when the tears started to fall. He couldn't see them because my back was turned towards him so he kept going.
"I mean, what do you think you'll be doing when I'm gone? You have that job at the office so you'll have enough money. And you have Kara, Jaden, and Summer for company..." As I turned towards him he trailed off.
He pulled me into a hug and exclaimed, "Oh Kirsten! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Just hold me." I whimpered.
"I love you Kirsten. I love you so much." Thomas whispered.
"I love you too"
