Thomas and Kirsten are deeply in love. But that all changes when Thomas enrolls in the army. There are some misunderstandings and they find themselves drifting farther and farther apart. Will they fix their relationship or will they hate each other for the rest of their lives?

Betrayal (10)

Thomas had been gone for three months. The only way of communication the army would allow was letters and pictures.

I wrote to Thomas every week about important stuff and even the most random facts. Here is a copy of the last letter that I had written.

My love,

I miss you so much. Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. So I have some big news to share this week. I am pregnant! I know, isn't it wonderful? I can already see the bump in my stomach. The doctors say that the baby will be healthy. Just a few more weeks and then they will be able to tell what gender it will be. I'm hoping for a boy. I want a boy and then a girl so that the boy can beat up any boyfriend the girl has. I know that's weird but... Yeah. What do you hope the baby will be? If the baby's a boy then I would love him to have the name James and if a girl then either Cosette or Evangeline. What are your top names? Wow Thomas you're a father! You're a daddy! I want you to know that I love you very much and I will keep you in my heart forever.

With love,

I put down the pen and lovingly tucked the letter inside an envelope. Then I pressed a stamp on the front and stuck it in the mailbox.

I checked it for any letters from Thomas but there were none. I haven't gotten any letters for at least a month. I was starting to worry but I figured that he was probably just to busy saving America for little old me.

*ding ding*

My phone alarm went off informing me that it was time to leave for work. I slipped on my black pencil skirt, my white sleeveless blouse, and my black high heels.

I grabbed my briefcase, jumped into my car, and drove off to work.
