As I mentioned in the earlier chapter I've been sent to hell on a mission. I'm supposed to be saving humans while keeping the dark forces away. It's going to be difficult because even though I'm an angel and I have the ability to defeat them, I'm on their turf so therefore I am automatically weakened. So I need to draw as little attention as possible.
I enter through the portal and land right in the middle of the pit. Not where I need to be and I have no idea where I'm going. I walk for a while until I find a city with a gate. I walk through the gate and find that the humans have built up a city just like this were a normal human world. It's almost like it didn't bother then that they were in hell. I walked further in and saw that they had built a small court house and capital building. I am about to walk up the steps of the capital when a woman steps in front of me.
"What are you doing here? This place is only for humans." She says.
"I'm here to help you." I respond. She gives me a once over and steps back.
"Why are you helping us? We don't need help. We are fine where we are." She says.
"I'm here to help you get to Earth and then maybe to Heaven but that's only if you can cooperate with me." I say. She scoffs at me.
"Heaven? Are you kidding me? We can't go to Heaven once we are here." She says. I hear other people snickering too.
"I'm an angel. I can get you there." I say. They all burst out laughing at me. I turn and face the crowd and I see one young girl in the middle staring at me with wide eyes. "You. The young girl in the middle. What's your name?" I ask. The people part and stare at her as she walks forward. When she reaches the steps she kneels down in front of me.
"Danielle." She says. Her face is still on the ground. I kneel down and pick up her face. I smile at her.
"You don't have to kneel down to me. I am only an angel." I say. She looks at me wide eyed again.
"Sir, you are not just an angel. You have come to save me. I believe that you will help save me and no matter what happens I will not lose hope." She says.
"First of all, don't call me sir. My name is Sebastien. Second, I'm glad that you believe in me because I honestly have no idea what I'm doing." I say. I laugh nervously and she gives me a huge smile.
"I guess we will learn along the way, right?" She says. I smile and nod.
"Well, let's get to work because it's going to take a while to earn your wings." I say and she nods jumping up and down excitedly. I walk off in the direction of the town and she follows behind me still jumping excitedly.
