When she came too, she was shaking as if she was in shock. I looked at Kage, hoping that he might help me here, he shook his head.
“She is your contact, if she can’t accept the fact that you are a spartan now, then perhaps we should find someone else for suitable for the job,” even with him saying that she didn’t snap out of her shock. So I nodded and started to walk to the door, I put my helmet back on, gripped the door handle. That was when she spoke.
“Manda, I can accept the fact that you are a spartan, but the fact that you have a brother, and your brother is the one that recruited you. Makes it seem that he was slightly bias,” at the word bias, I laughed.
“Let me tell you, he wasn’t. When we got on the plane to leave and he told me that he was my brother, I almost killed him,” he nods
“Ok well maybe not bias, but it is sort of like me and the other people had no chance at being recruited, and yet you was, the homeless,” that was when Kage looked at me, and then spoke in a whisper.
“You was homeless?” I nod. I turn to Lexy though so I wouldn’t think about those times, I want to forget about those times.
“Ok, I am going to forget that awkward moment, what did you guys need from me?” she asks getting down to business like always when it was needed.
“Lexy, we need to find a certain flood ship,” then she shook her head.
“Which ship?” she asks.
“The Gravemind,” I say gravely. She gasps, and shakes her head.
“Are you out of your metal mind? That is the most dangerous of them all and that is the one you happen to need to find. Why do you need to find it?” she asks.
“There is a top secret classified AI on board, taken hostage and we need to save her before they access her information, which would lead Flood here, to Earth,”
