Here's the next chapter.
Love you guys!
Ashton sets me on the sinks counter and grabs out a bunch of stuff, searching for something I'm guessing.
After a moment he pulls out a tube of something and smiles small. He put everything back and closes the cabinet.
He turns back to me and opens the container, white cream showing. He gets a little on his finger and brushes my tangled hair out of my face before lightly dabbing it and I wince at the cool feeling and cause it kind of hurt.
He puts more on it and I wince and cringe the whole time.
After a few minutes of doing this he finally finishes. He closes the cream and no words were spoken the whole time. He puts it back and sighs looking at me.
"We need to cover it up somehow. Do you have any cover up or something we can put on it?" He asks and I think.
Do I? Not sure really. I might at home.
"I might have something at home." I say looking down at my hands that are placed in my lap.
He places his hands on my knees. "Well it looks like we're making a trip to your house." He says smiling and I just nod my head.
My mood completely dead. So much has happened this morning.
"What time do you need to be at school for?" He asks me looking at his phone.
"I have to be in class by 8:45." I say and he nods his head.
"Well we've got time. I'll get dressed and we'll go. You go get your stuff." He says and I nod my head as he rushes out of the bathroom.
I sigh sitting there, just thinking.
Will Scarlet bother me today?
Probably. I'm such a freak.
Ashton pops his head in the door way and furrows his eyebrows. "Hey, why aren't you ready?" He sighs when I don't meet his gaze. "You didn't even leave here did you?" I slowly shake my head an he walks over to me.
He puts his arms around my waist. "C'mon." He says and I automatically wrap my legs around him and my arms around his neck. He carries me to Michaels room and sets me down on the bed and let's go. I sit there and cross my legs.
"Where's your bag?" He asks me and I sigh and look around then I notice it in the corner of the room. I get up and grab it.
"We should go." I say and I walk out if the room, pushing my hair out of my face.
I go down the stairs and I watch my feet as I step on each step, counting them as I go down.
Well I should learn to watch where I'm going.
I bump into a body and I fall along with the person down the 6 more steps.
A hand goes to my head as we tumble and holds me close so I don't get that hurt.
I slowly blink open my eyes and I'm actually expecting to meet hazel eyes or brown eyes but I'm met with bright worried blue eyes.
I'm about to pull away and run but he holds me close, closing his eyes and sighs which sounds like in relief.
"Oh thank god you're okay." He mumbles and I sigh.
He pulls back and winces a little. "Are you okay?" He asks and I blink.
"I-I think so." I say backing up a little and wincing as I move my leg. "Ow fucking hell." I mumble and his gaze goes to my leg as I hold it.
"Fuck, you're hurt." He says and he winces standing up. He stands me up slowly and I grip onto his arm so I don't fall over cause of the pain in my leg.
"No shit." I say and he sighs.
The front door opens and I look over to see a blonde women. She looks around and her gaze goes to me then to Luke and she glares.
"Luke Robert Hemmings!" She snaps and Luke's face goes pale then beat red.
"Mum?" He asks sounding shocked and very confused.
I look at Luke then back at the lady who shuts the door and crosses her arms walking over to us.
I go to back away but wince and hiss in pain. She gasps and drops her bag onto the stand beside her and rushes over to me.
"Luke what did you do?" She asks sternly and Luke looks confused. She looks back at me then looks at my cheek. "What happened to her cheek Luke?"
Luke's eyes widen along with mine and I hear foot steps coming from down the stairs and from the kitchen.
"Liz?" Ashton asks sounding really confused.
So that's her name.
"What are you doing here?" Michael asks standing beside Ashton.
I look over my shoulder to see Calum standing on the last three steps of the stairs leaning against the railing.
"I'm not going to ask again Luke." She says with a pissed off look in her eyes.
Michael comes over to me and helps me over to the chair beside him and Ashton.
"W-what do you mean? What why are you here?" He asks trying to change the subject.
"That is not what I asked you Luke." Liz says.
He sighs. "I- I hit her." He says quietly and she grabs her bag and hits Luke with it over and over again.
"Luke! I raised you better then that! What the hell is wrong with you!?" She says breathing heavily. She backs away looking really offended.
"I-I just- it just happened." He says and I hear Calum scoff quietly.
Her gaze looks over to me and she smiles small. She walks over to me. "Hello. I'm Liz, Luke's mother." She says holding her hand out for me.
I take it and she pulls me into a hug and I'm a little taken back at first but hug back anyway.
"I'm Thorn." I say and she nods her head.
"I know." She says smiling sweetly.
"We should get you to school." Ashton says and I agree.
"Yeah. I need my bag. And help." I say and he quickly gets up and grabs my bag, and wraps an arm around me, holding me up.
I say goodbye to the other and I glance over my shoulder to see Liz hit Luke on the back of the head and Michael and Calum snicker.
Ashton helps me into the car, I put my bag in the back and Ash put on sunglasses.
"Okay. So I kind of need to know where you live so we can cover up that bruise." He says driving down the road and stopped at a stop sign.
"Oh. I live on Oakville Ave...." I say and he nods his head as he drives.
"So, who called Liz?" He asks glancing at me then back at the road as he continues to drive.
I shrug my shoulders. "I didn't know it was his mom till Luke called her mom." I say and I brush my hair out of my eyes only for it to go back.
I roll my blue eyes and look down at my hands that are covered by the long sleeves of Michael's black sweater.
"I didn't call her." Ashton tells me and I believe him. Him and Michael both seemed so confused.... But not Calum.
I sigh. "Calum." I say and he gives me a confused look. "It was Calum who called her."
He shakes his head but the small smile on his face shows he's not mad. "That I should have known." He says and I nod my head even though I have no idea what he's actually talking about.
"Which house is yours?" He asks as we drive down the road.
"The small red and white one." I say and he follows what I said and pulls into an empty drive way.
Oh thank god she's not home.
I open the door to climb out only to almost fall on the cement. Yeah now that would have been fun. Not like I haven't had enough of it from falling down the stairs.
"Whoa. Okay slow down." Ashton says rushing over to me and helping me towards the house.
I unlock the door and we both step in, him shutting the door behind him.
I limp my way to the stairs and carefully climb them with Ashton right behind me so if I fall, he's going to either catch me or go down with me.
I would prefer option A thank you.
I roll my eyes at my own brain. We come up to my room and I open it. I go over to my bathroom and take out my concealer.
"Here let me help you." Ashton says taking the container from me and opening it up.
He daps a little on his finger and lightly puts it on my cheek. Once he's done it doesn't look that much different.
I mean, you can't see the bruise thank god and I'm happy that it's my skin colour.
I take the concealer and close it, putting it in my pocket.
I grab out my mascara and well, I might as well kinda look like a girl today.
I put some on and I feel very awkward as Ashton just watches me do all this.
Random but whatever.
"Okay we should go if you're done." He says chuckling and I playfully glare at him.
I nod my head and we head back down to the car. He helps me in and I thank him, like the nice person I am.
Okay that's a lie, I'm a total bitch when I want to be.
He starts driving towards the school and I groan throwing my head back against the seat.
He throws me a worried glance. "What? What happened?"
"I should have brushed my hair while we were there." I say and he laughs making me hit his arm.
"Asshole." I say and he just chuckles.
"How's your leg?" He asks me and I look down at it. I actually haven't checked it out at all yet.
Can't be as bad as my cheek.
I shrug. "I honestly don't know. I didn't look at it all all." I say and he frowns.
I sigh. "Well when I fell, I was just getting up when Liz walked in, so I didn't really have a chance to look at it to begin with." I say watching the houses go by us.
Plain old looking houses.
"Well you should at least look at it now." He says with the frown still etched on his face making me frown to.
"Not right now. Can't anyway. Skinny jeans Ashton." I tell him pulling in the fabric to make my point stand out more.
He rolls his eyes but smiles a little anyways.
"Yeah, yeah. Just, check it after you get to school then, okay?" He asks me and I nod my head.
"Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night." I tell him and he chuckles.
"What?" He asks sounding really confused.
I laugh. "It's an expression you idiot." I say and he just looks even more confused and maybe a little worried this time which just makes me laugh even harder.
"You and your weird sayings I will never understand them." He tells me and I just smile shrugging my shoulders.
We pull up to my school and classes have started already making me want to stab my eyes out.
"I really don't want to go in there. Not when I look and feel like a total mess." I grown throwing my head against the seat like before.
"Just think about it, you only have to be here for less time then the rest of them." He says and I shake my head at him and he laughs
"Can't I just skip?" I ask myself out loud even thought I would be in so much trouble if I actually skipped.
"Wouldn't you be in a lot of trouble?" He asks me and I just sigh.
"You have no idea." I tell him.
I open the door and try my best to not put so much pressure on my leg as I grab my bag out from the back seat.
"Bye Ash, thanks for the ride." I tell him and he beams at me.
"No problem love. Need anything just shoot me a text or call me." He says before driving away leaving me alone to face the hell hole on my own.
