It was summer. The sky was clear, the air was humid, and everyone was happy. A small family were sighted in a park, sitting down on a red checkered blanket with different foods in containers. There was a mother, with long, dark hair tied neatly in a ponytail. There was another mother sitting beside her, with much fairer hair, let out freely to blow whenever there was a gust of wind. Both mothers engaged in chit chat while their sons conversed happily under the summer sun.
"Look what mum bought me!" One said excitedly, his tan, olive skin growing darker under the sun. His grin stretched from ear to ear as he pulled out a comic with brightly coloured images splattered on the front.
"Wow, so cool! I've wanted for so long, but mum won't get it for me." His eyes darted over to his mother with a sad expression, almost puppy-like.
"Oh be quiet, Niall. I bought you one just last week!" She replied, rolling her eyes and turning to the other woman.
"Kids, eh?" She said with a chuckle, before starting up another conversation about who knows.
"Can I hold it after, please?" The smallest one"s voice piped up, his green hues blinking with hope.
"Fine, but don't rip it!" His brother reminded him with a frown. Niall carefully handed his brother the comic as if it was something holy. A six year old Harry Styles' eyes gleamed as he carelessly grabbed the comic, grinning as he happily flicked through the pages.
"Be careful, Haz, careful! Carefu-" Harry's big eyes suddenly brimmed with tears, holding the comic in one hand and the teared piece in his other. His mother let out a gasp, staring at Harry in disbelief.
"Harry! You naughty boy, apologise to Zayn!" Zayn's eyes focused on the ripped comic, Niall's eyes focusing on the rip as well.
"I-I'm sorry, I-It was by accident!" He almost burst out into tears, sadly handing Zayn the comic. Zayn's mother shook her head, smiling as she leaned over to ruffle his short, brown hair.
"Don't worry, Harry, it's fine. Zayn has a lot more at home anyway."
"Yeah, don't worry Hazzy, it's okay." Zayn reassured him with a smile, patting his head after. Harry's tears were blinked away, a soft smile appearing instead. Niall stared at the interaction between his younger brother and his best friend with a frown, crossing his arms over his chest.
