Are you Trisha or Mandy?
I hated that question with all of my heart. Even though we were identical on the outside, we were totally different on the inside, was it that hard to tell us apart?
I guess so, because our closest friends were the only ones who never mixed us up.
Though looking back at our pictures i do understand how difficult it must have been, we were the same height, had the same straight dirty blonde hair and the same light blue eyes. Though you could tell from the way we dressed, i'm more of a girly girl, so i wore more dresses and pink that we were different. Also Mandy was more athletic then me, i was more into clubs. Mandy and i were really close, we weren't just sisters we were friends, we almost always got along but unfortunately things changed.
It all started in ninth grade, we were both really excited to finally be in high school, but we were tired of people not being able to tell us apart so we decided to get different hair cuts. I got mine cut just above my waist and Mandy got hers cut just above her shoulders and we both got side bangs.
On the first day Mandy and i searched for our group of friends, Melissa, Amy, Sara and Kelly. Melissa was the tallest, she had long straight black hair, and green eyes. Amy had shoulder length wavy brown hair, dip dyed pink, and brown -green eyes. Sara was the shortest, she had a blonde bob, and green-blue eyes. Kelly had curly strawberry blonde hair (we all loved her hair) and brown eyes.
When we finally rounded up our group of friend we set off to our new lockers, put our mirrors and stuff up and set off looking for our first period english class, that we all had together! On the way there we stopped by a bulletin board with all the sports teams, clubs and productions. Mandy and Melissa signed up for volleyball, soccer and flag football, Amy signed up for the first production "The Wizard of Oz", Sara signed up for art club and Kelly and i signed up for baking club. In first period we got our schedules, i had geography second with Sara and Mandy, lunch (everyone had the same lunch, so we were all together), gym third with Melissa, Kelly and Mandy and art (i needed an art credit) fourth with Amy. I was really happy to have at least one of my friend in each class.
Ok so your probably wondering, what happened? Well i tell you what happened...
There was this boy, Anthony, he was in my geography class. He was grade nine rep, captain of the football team and president of the baking club. He was tall, lean, had light brown hair and gorgeous dark blue, golden flecked eyes. He was perfect. When Mandy, Sara and i first saw him we all looked at each other as if asking "are we dreaming?" He noticed us staring at him, smiled and said "Hey". Lets just say we all died and went to heaven.
Though he was perfect, there was one flaw, Mandy and i both had a huge crush on him. We never had a crush on the same boy before, so when we found out we were both shocked. We made a deal that if he were to chose one of us the other would be ok with it. But when he started talking to us more and more, we both thought he was going to chose us and we started to sabotage each other. Mandy brought in a picture of me when i was 11 and had to wear a head gear to bed, i thought i got rid of it but it turns out there was more then one copy. I was furious with her so i put blue hair die in her shampoo. She wanted to kill me, though the way i saw it she should have thanked me for getting the kind that only lasted one week.
Then she decided to sign me up for volleyball and when i told the coach it was a mistake he told me to try out anyway and i ended up making a fool out of myself, and you'll never guess who was there helping the coach when i wiped out...if you guessed Anthony, then you were right. When i found out that Anthony was going to teach Mandy how to make upside down cake, i made sure to rig the blender. The next day i heard that she had an accident and cake ended up everywhere. We keep doing things like this for a while. Eventually it got so bad that we stopped speaking.
