Just when I thought everything was okay, BAM some random girl-Alison-shows up to tell Cameron that his world is in danger!
I'm still trying to process what just happened.
I take a seat at the nearest bench and dial Mandy's number, it rings a couple of times before I hear he voicemail.
I can't help but worry that something bad happened to her, after all Dylan was after her soul!
I called up Sara next and thank God she picked up!
"Sara listen its Trisha, I need you to gather the others, the Devils are trying to come down to Earth to steal all the humans souls! Mandy isn't answering her phone and I'm starting to freak out!" I interrupt.
"Hey calm down I'll call the others and invite them over and I will find Mandy okay? Cameron's got this!" She said. Sara was always the optimistic one.
"Thanks Sara." I said and hung up.
After stopping Dylan the first time, with some help Cameron managed to get all the Devils locked up. Unfortunately some were undercover...
I sat for a couple more seconds trying to relax myself when I felt someone sit beside me.
I looked over to find a older man with whitening hair and pale blue eyes.
"You seem worried." The man said.
"Yeah I guess I am, though I probably shouldn't be." I said fiddling with my fingers.
"You hold a lot of confidence in that boy." He says looking up at the stars.
"Excuse me?" I said confused.
"Well I'm guessing that you think Cameron is going to save the day, don't you?" he said, a smile tugging at either side of his mouth.
"Who are you?" I ask, not sure if I want the answer.
"You never answered my question." he said looking at he straight on for the first time.
Something was definitely not right.
I quickly stood up, but I wasn't fast enough, the man grabbed my wrist and twisted it, causing me to fall to the ground in pain.
"My name is Harold, I'm sure you have heard of me before." He whispered in my ear.
I felt a panic rise inside of me but I knew I had to play smart. "Doesn't ring a bell." I said shrugging.
"Then why were you trying to run away?" He asked slightly confused.
"You were creeping me out, ever heard of stranger danger?" I said trying not to smirk and instead roll my eyes.
His confusion caught him off guard and I jabbed my elbow into his stomach causing him to loosen his grip on me.
"Your a good liar, but not good enough." He said tightening his grip once more.
"You Devils make me sick!" I hissed.
"Guardians make me sick, helping your kind, we get nothing out of it, you people don't even know that we help you!" He spat out.
"What do you mean we? Your no Guardian!"
"Well I started out as one, all Devils do, and I also had to continue to pretend to be one."
I made a disgusted face and rolled my eyes.
"Now we can do this the easy way or the hard way, as you already know I have powers and you do not."
I tried listing all the different powers Cameron once told me all Guardians had.
Transporting, creating dreams, silencing minds (which just means putting people to sleep), and giving light (aka a soul-in the case of a devil instead of putting the soul in they take it out). Also few Guardians have the ability to sense when their assignment is in danger.
Harold couldn't do to much damage other then steal my soul.
"Wouldn't both ways just be stealing my soul?" I ask.
"Well no, that would be the hard way, I am going to spare you for now but you are coming with me, that is the easy way." He said and before I could respond we flashed out.
Hello awesome readers!
Sorry if that chapter was short. The Switch is coming to an end, there are only a few chapters left, where you will find out if Cameron defeats the Devils!
Please let me know how I'm doing, it would be much appreciated! Thanks!
