Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny go on an epic adventure, and they unearth some incredible finds...

6. Finding Family

Not for the first time Ginny's jaw fell open as she and Harry stared at Alíc in astonishment.  He looked down at the ground in shame.  "I never thought our feud would become this... this... stupid.  Yes, your father is dead.  Tied to the riverbed by a muggle material called "rope".  It's really quite strong.!"  He was clearly trying to make some sort of effort, but his confidence was rapidly failing him.  He looked from Ginny to Harry and back again, stuttering.  Harry began to draw his wand, but Ginny stopped him.  "You... you... monster!  Why would you kill the man who has cared for me, the man I knew as father?"  She began getting angry - "You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" She dug her wand into his throat, and for a moment both Alíc and Harry thought she was going to kill him there and then.  She stopped, remembering the story Harry had told her about Hermione and Draco.  With a quick, sharp, balled fist broke his nose, then turned and stormed away.

Harry followed her, all the way to the river.  She stood by the river bank, raised her wand, and crying stood firm and cast "Homenum Revelio".  She saw Harry walk up and stand behind her and she let him wrap his arms around her.  "He's here."  She whimpered after a few seconds silence.  "Right there."  She pointed with a shaking finger into the dark, murky waters.  "I have to bring him home."

"No, you don't.  Fate intended him to be there, so let him rest."  Harry pulled her outstretched arm down by her side and kissed her lightly on the neck.

They stood there together for the rest of the evening, and only stirred when a wave of high tide crept in on them.  Still in silence, they walked home, closed the door behind them and went to bed - Alíc completely forgotten about...
