MAY The Truth Be Told

I'm May, a not-so-average 14 year old girl...
Sometimes i wonder what life woild be like outside of my house, or yard.
I'm never to leave, but to ,instead, stay home with my father. Only to care for his colleagues when they come over. I am homeschooled so i only have met one other child, Amy. She's my age and she visits once a week. I wish she could about her world, but my father has his restrictions. If he found out she told me anything, punishment would be severe.
But who says SHE is the one that will tell me or show me the outside world?

1. The Room

"Stay in your room!" He yelled. He sounded hesitant. As if there was something he didn't want me to see. But i had to obey. I didn't want him to take away my privileges of having my curtains open... i couldn't take that darkness anymore.

But i sat in wonder, watching out my window... only able to see farmland, but no other people. It was all i knew. Amy called it depressing only having a window to peek from. I saw it as a fascination, a wonderful gift of joy. I longed to step in the warm, soft grass that i only touch but once a year, on my birthday. My father allows this to be my present, and it quite was! The most wonderful gift i could ever imagine.

I was curious. I peeked from by bedroom door as i heard the stairs creek just down the hall. A younge figure approached around the corner. He had silky blonde hair and was wearing the occasional tux. I didnt recognize him. He appeared to be somewhat a teen. Perhaps a year older than i. He glanced at me and i quickly closed the door as my heart began to race. I ever so wanted to see about the curious young man lurking in my hall. A knock occured softly upon the other side of my simple white metallic door. I gasped in wonder. And for some strange reason i found myself reaching for the lock to yet again peek outside of my life, my bedroom.
