“What are you in for” Hayden heard a female voice ask her
“What?” she asked turning around
“What are you in for?” The pretty brunette smiled at her widely and repeated her question
“Uh just some issues” Hayden answered not wanting to discuss her personal life with a complete stranger
“Same, my name is Sam” she stuck her hand out, Hayden noticed the small cuts on her wrist next to her bird tattoos but chose to ignore it just in case she didn’t see right
“Hayden” she smiled shaking her hand
“I like your t-shirt” She smiled pointing at the bon jovi t-shirt she was wearing on her black jeans
“Thanks” Hayden smiled not feeling great at all, she looked like a mess compared to Sam who was in a white summer dress and sandals.
She had been a mess for the past month and did things she never thought she would do like smoke, drink or cut herself. She thought about Russell a lot and got angry with herself every time because she still had feelings for him
Ryan not being there when she needed him the most also had a large effect on her...Adrianna noticed the change in her behavior and decided to take her to see a recommended therapist.
She didn’t want to see a therapist; she just wanted to be left alone.
“This is my boyfriend Josh” she smiled at the guy who had earphones plugged into his ears
He had black hair, strong jaw line with light stubble. He was also very tall and muscular
“How old is he?” Hayden asked
“18” just like Russell
“Josh” she hissed nudging him not so subtly and when he looked at her “This is my new friend Hayden”
Hayden realized in the short time she spent with her, she was quite the bubbly person
“Hi” his deep voice greeted her
“Hi” Hayden answered shyly
“Samantha Michelson” A petite older woman called “You’re next”
“We should hang out sometime” she smiled handing her a piece of paper
Hayden was in no position to start denying friend requests and politely smiled.
The room was small and smelled like vanilla, it was neatly organized.
Hayden sat down on the old looking green sofa and fiddled with her sweater sleeves
“My name is Ella” The woman smiled at her. She was actually very pretty; blonde hair cut into a bob, big blue eyes, red lips.
“Okay so we can start with you telling me about yourself” she smiled politely and pulled out a note pad and pen
“I don’t think I need therapy” Hayden replied
“Well your Sister in Law is just really worried”
“I’m fine” she stubbornly answered
“I read her you lost your brother a few months ago”
“I really don’t want to talk about Ryan” she could feel the tears rimming her eyes and she didn’t want to blink because one would fall. She guessed she was sad because she brushed off her emotion and just convinced herself she was fine.
Ella took in a deep breath and looked at the girl sitting opposite her, she was pretty and looked as fragile as a flower; Lilly of the valley to be specific. She saw a lot of pain in her green eyes and immediately felt sorry for her.
“Listen Hayden, I know you don’t want to talk to someone you don’t know but I want to give you something” Ella told her standing up, heading to the coffee colored cabinet.
She pulled out a thick baby blue book with a beautiful flower on the front and handed it to Hayden
“A book?” she scrunched up her face making Ella chuckle
“Yes, A book. I want you to write down anything that you feel; it will be like your little journal. I want you to express yourself whether it’s written or drawn; it’s your own little escape”
“Do I have to show it to you?”
“No, this one is just for your eyes only unless you want me to see it” she smiled
“Okay” she answered softly and shoved it into her bag “Can I leave now?” she asked
“Sure, I’ll see you on Monday after school” Ella smiled knowing not to push her or she wouldn’t come back
Hayden picked up her bag and walked out, as soon as she stepped out Rain started pouring down and she made her way to the bus stop shelter.
She pulled a cigarette out of her bag and looked for the lighter she threw in but couldn’t find it.
“Shit” she continued to search her bag and then suddenly her cigarette was being lit
She looked up and was immediately greeted by stormy grey eyes and the cigarette fell out of her mouth. She quickly composed herself and she picked another one out of her bag and placed it in between her lips, continuing to search for her lighter.
She felt absolute happiness when she found her lighter and she lit the cigarette and inhaled slowly, ignoring his presence.
Russell watched her smoke and didn’t recognize the girl in front of him, she wasn’t the same girl, she didn’t look the same either; she had become so thin, the eye bags under her eyes noticeable, her green eyes were no longer bright but cloudy and sad.
“This isn’t you Bambi”
“You don’t know me Russell and don’t act like you care about me?”She snapped at him
His gaze pierced her skin; his stare was hard and hostile
“I thought I told you to leave me alone”
“I never listen to what I’m told” was his reply which angered her more “I did tell you to stay away from me” he added with a straight face
She slapped him hard and his hand immediately moved to his jaw, rubbing it and that’s when she noticed the bandage wrapped around his hand
“You are really making a habit of that” he mumbled dryly
She decided to walk away and she could hear him faintly calling her but she ignored him, getting even more soaked in the rain.
One minute she was walking and the next her back was hitting an ally wall
She was about to scream but she noticed it was Russell and she calmed down but who knows what he was going to do
“Don’t ever walk away from me again Hayden” he told her angrily
“I’m not your property Russell, I’m not Marie” she snapped, pushing him not regretting it even after the expression he gave her. She pushed his chest but that did nothing at all so she continued punching his chest using that as an anger relief.
“Hayden” he said her name warningly.
The rain had stopped and the showers were almost gone leaving the both freezing in the cold air
“I liked you so much” she said through gritted teeth
“Damn it Hayden what do you want from me?” He asked her when one of the punches landed on his side, he held her small wrists together and pinned her against the wall
“Let me go” she said through gritted teeth
“Tell me what you want from me” he told her pressing his body on to hers, restricting all her movement
“I’ll scream” she threatened
“Go ahead” he told her nonchalantly
She knew she wasn’t going to do it and screamed in frustration.
“Marie put the camera in my loft”
“I don’t care, Just leave me alone Russell” she spoke defeated and looked away from him
He grabbed her jaw with one hand making her look at him
“I had nothing to do with it”
“Oh so she put it to record you guys having sex” she snapped jealously
Russell wanted to smirk at how jealous she was but knew that was not the right time. If this had been someone else Russell wouldn’t have cared but it was Hayden so he had to care.
She wasn’t sure whether to believe him or not but the glint in his eye told her he might have been telling her the truth. He crashed his lips on hers hard making her eyes widen, he wrapped his hand around her waist and lifted her up making her legs wrap around his waist.
He placed his hand in her hair, tugging it roughly and her hands found their way into his hair
With one hand she gently pulled his bandaged hand down so that he could hold her waist
He broke the kiss and looked at her intensely, his eyebrows furrowed.
He held her under her behind and started to walk out of the Ally
As soon as they came out he set her down and as always just when it got heated he removed himself and walked away. Leaving her alone.
