As night fell, the train slowly drew to a stop at Hogsmeade Station.
An excited buzz fell around every carriage and corridor as first year last minute nerves kicked in.
Albus was starting to feel the pressure.
"Don't worry," Rose reassured him "All houses are highly respected. Anyway, your parents won't mind, they were proud of James, and would've been no matter what house he was in."
"That's easy for you to say, your parents just want you to be smarter than that Malfoy, which, by the looks of earlier events, you've already done!" Albus knew that his parents would love him no matter what, but with James in Gryffindor, that was quite something to live up to. Plus, he's already said he's signing up for Gryffindor Seeker. His father was also a Seeker, and since James was their grandfather's name, he was well on the way to being favourite.
Then, the chaos began. Students were all bustling to get the best seats on the carriages, whilst the first years stood on the platform.
"First years!" A big, friendly voice called out. "First years this way!"
"Hagrid!" Rose and Albus ran forward, happy to see their dear friend.
"Well hello you two!" He beamed through his dark grey beard "You still up for tea this Friday? Only I know you get half days on Friday and-"
"Hagrid, it's fine, we wouldn't miss it for the world." Rose laughed.
"Oh, that's good then!" Hagrid grinnied "So who's this then?" He nodded towards Cleo
"This is Cleo," Rose explained "Albus broke her nose."
"Well, he's a smooth mover, then isn't he?" Hagrid smiled, a happy twinkle in his eyes.
Cleo laughed "Well, I prefer to be wined then dined, but I guess he had other things in mind."
Albus went bright red "No, I wasn't flirting!" He protested.
"Alright Al, we know you weren't." Rose chuckled.
"Now, everyone here?" Hagrid asked, raising his voice to talk to the entire crowd."Good, now lets get to the boats! Follow me!"
