After the being on the train for several hours, they decided to change into their robes, each of them taking it in turn to go down to the train toilets to get out of their muggle clothing. As Albus made his way back to their carriage, his thoughts went back to the conversation he had with his father, minutes before boarding the scarlet train. How did he know that the Sorting Hat puts your thoughts into account? Did it really do that for him? And why hadn't he told him, James and Lily this before?
Suddenly, Albus was brought back to Earth by an angered yelp, which seemed to be coming from the floor. He looked down to find a lanky girl with cotton candy purple hair, which was now turning red before very eyes. He smiled fondly, she was the same as Teddy.
"What do you think you're doing?!" She snapped. She had a strong Irish accent. "Watch what you're doing!"
"S-sorry." He mumbled, going red. "Look, do you want to come back to back to our compartment?"
She stood up, seeming even taller than Albus had originally thought. Blood was sitting on her upper lip, she must have hit her nose whilst falling.
"Our compartment? Who are you sitting with?" She asked, looking suspicious. Then she jumped, appearing startled. "Y-Your Harry Potter!"
Albus laughed; it was not the first time this situation had occurred.
"No, he's my dad. I'm Albus." He put his hand out to shake hers. Instead, she wiped her nose, realising it was bleeding.
"So, you caused this mess, you gonna help me clean it up or what?" She was smiling now, a mischievous grin which held lots of mystery. Albus was surprised how much she resembled pictures of his twin uncles, who were the school jokers. He knew she'd be a lot of fun.
