"Come on, Lucy!"
"I don't want to!"
"No, I'm not doing it!"
"Alright then!" Lucy Barrett stood up from the old park bench and turned to face her friends. It was a warm summer evening, and the sun was still shining brightly in the sky. They had just finished school and had gathered in the park.
"What do you want me to do?" Lucy asked, sighing.
"Um..." Her friend Amber, glanced around the quiet park. "Ooh, I know! Do an impression of that policeman."
"I can't!" Lucy exclaimed, "How about an impression of that guy over there?" She pointed at a man reading the Daily Mail.
"Boooooring!" Yawned Amber.
"Fine." Replied Lucy, watching him. She started striding about, like he did, and she copied his every movement. The policeman suddenly turned to face Lucy. She noticed this, and stopped very suddenly, turning crimson.
"Thanks a bunch, Amber," She said sarcastically. "I'm gonna get told off now."
The policeman started speaking into his Walkie-Talkie and started walking towards Lucy. Lucy froze. Why did she have to listen to Amber? She began to think about what he'd do. Throw her in the cells for the night? Probably.
As the policeman approached, he smiled. Lucy let out a sigh of relief.
"Hello Officer," said Lucy's other friend, Clara, "How may we help you?" The policeman ignored her.
"Lucy Barrett!" He exclaimed. Lucy took a step back.
"How do you know my name?" She asked.
"Trust me, we've been looking for you for a long time." The policeman replied, as police cars suddenly drew up, with police officers jumping out. Lucy's heart beat quickened. What was happening? The policeman suddenly grabbed her wrists and put handcuffs on her.
"Ah!" Lucy let out a little scream.
"Now point screaming, young lady" Advised the policeman. His smile had gone now. Lucy started to panic.
"Amber! Clara!" She yelled, as she got dragged away. Amber and Clara just stood there in shock.
"What's happening?" Lucy asked. "Why are you taking me away?"
"Don't play that game with me, missy" Replied the policeman, yanking her handcuffs.
"Ow!" Yelled Lucy. "No, seriously, what have I done?" The policeman didn't reply.
"Help, HELP" screamed Lucy. No-one did anything. She panicked even more. She started thrashing out at the policemen.
"Stop that!" Exclaimed the policeman. Lucy didn't stop, she went wilder and wilder. She saw the other policemen putting some sort of liquid on a cloth. They handed it to the policeman who was holding Lucy.
"Goodnight" He said smugly as he forced the cloth onto her face.
That was the last thing that Lucy remembered before she passed out.
