14. Summer begins
Winter ended and spring passed rather quickly for Lily and James. Summer was already beginning and neither of them believed how fast their sixth year had gone. James and the Marauders were planning more pranks (one or two of which Lily came up with,) and Lily and Melody were studying (James and Remus sometimes joined them, but James wanted to know more about muggles and spent most of the time spent studying he messed around). End of year exams were approaching, and while Melody and James were reasonably smart and didn't really care what grade they got, Lily and Remus were nervous wrecks and constantly had their noses in books (this was nothing new to Melody or James).
Lily entered charms class and dropped into her usual seat by Melody. She had just taken out her essay and handed it to proffessor Flitwick, brought out her quill and parchment and opened her ears, ready for another note-taking session when her charms proffessor announced that today would be a practical lesson. She put away her equipment and brought out her wand.
"Today we will be working on the non verbal silencing charm..."
James entered charms class and dropped lazily into his normal seat at the back beside Sirius. He didn't even bother bringing out parchment or quills, and his wand stayed in his bag. There was no essay on non verbal charms for Flitwick, as he hadn't done it at all. He'd regret it later but there was no point in worrying about it now. James Potter, Quidditch captain, marauder, and popular guy (that one didn't sound so impressive,) didn't have time to worry.
"Today we will be working oon the non verbal silencing charm..."
James sighed. This would be a long day..
