I spent the rest of my day at work constantly watching the clock and dreading this date that I was forcedly going to with that man, whose name I STILL don't know. It was six by now and only an hour left until I had to go with him. He scared me. Not only did he confirm to me that he was a vampire, but that he would hurt people too! What kind of psycho a, I dealing with?
I was dwelling on the thought when I heard Sasha coming up behind me.
"Hey, Dia, you ok? You look like you've got something on your mind." she said, taking a seat on one of the stools.
"Yeah, just thinking about later." I said, staring at the clock yet again.
"What's going on later? A party I wasn't invited to or something."
"No, I got a date, a date with that guy that attacked me last night." I whispered the end of the sentence.
"Oh, him! Ya know, I saw you waiting on him today! He was actually pretty hot, don't know why he freaks you out!" she exclaims.
"Well, hmm, Sash, let me think! First off I don't know his name, second, he attacked me, and third, he's now stalking me! No, nothings scary about that at all!" I said sarcastically, giving her a glare.
"Still, he is hot." she muttered quietly.
Just then, the door opened. My head shot up and Sasha turned around quickly and gave a little smirk. In he walked, swagger in all, my mystery man.
"Hello again, Love. Ready to go?" he looked at me and smirked as well.
"Umm..." I forgot how to speak, being much to scared.
"Of course she is!!! Go have fun, Dia, I'll lock up!!!" Sasha exclaimed, jumping to her feet and shoving me into this guy's arms.
"Shall we?" he asked as he began to lead me out the door.
I couldn't respond, just sending a death glare to Sasha as we walked out.
I walked my gorgeous girl into the restaurant. I got us a good seat, and we ordered quickly.
"Soooo..." she started off nervously.
"Hmm?" I looked at her, raising an eyebrow.
"Umm, well, uh, I kinda want to know your name I guess." she stuttered out.
"Ah, of course! how rude of me to, not inform you! It's Niklaus, Niklaus Mikaelson" I smiled at her.
"Oh, well it's nice to meet you, Nikl-" I cut her off.
"No, no, no, please, call me Klaus!" I rested my hand on hers.
"Ok..." she looked down nervously.
"You seem uncomfortable, I suppose your not use to this." I stated.
"Well, usually, guys don't hit on me by attacking me in the middle of the night on my way home." she responded stubbornly.
"Mmm, yes, I suppose I didn't make a vey good first impression."
"No, not really." she replied.
"Well, to be perfectly honest, I wasn't expecting to even let you live, but since you can't be compelled, I thought I would spare you. For now that is." I smirked again.
"This compelling thing, can you do it to everyone?" she asked.
"Usually, however, you seem to change that. You don't happen to be an Original yourself do you?" I looked at her quizzically.
"An Original?" she had a look of confusion on her face.
"I will take that as a no." I looked down at my glass of wine and picked it up and took a sip.
"What is an Original?" she asked.
"Well, I'm one." I replied.
"So it's just another name for Vampire?" she said.
"Certainly not! Originals are the very first Vampires. We can compel the other vampires and we can't die by a stake. It's like vampire royalty if you will." I stated.
"So that makes you how old then?" she questioned.
I gave a slight smile at that,
"Let's just say that I'm much too old for me to care to admit."
"Ah, I see."
Just then, the food came and we commenced with our eating.
