"I have your friend.
If you want her back,
Come to this address at noon tomorrow,
See you their, sweetheart."
I was awoken with the sound of glass shattering. I shot out of bed and practically ran down the stairs. I walked into the kitchen and saw Rebecca standing frozen. She had tears streaming down her white, pale face. She was holding a small piece paper and had shattered glass by her bare feet.
"Oh my gosh, Rebecca!" I said running over to her, careful not to step in any glass. I sat her in a chair and sat on my knees in front me. "Rebecca?" I said, but she didn't react. "Rebecca what happened?" I tried once again but with no success.
I took the paper from her shaking hands and read it over.
Oh my gosh!
I felt the tears in my eyes as I looked up at Rebecca's ghostly pale face. "Is this the same person?" I asked. She nodded and stared out in nothing.
He has Vanessa. Poor, little, innocent Vanessa is trapped with that monster!
I quickly stood up from the chair I was sitting in, making Selena fall on her bum. I started pacing around in the kitchen, thinking of what I should do.
Should I meet him there and risk my and Vanessa's life?
Should I not meet him there?
I mean I don't know what he could do. He could rape her, or kill her.
I shuddered at the thought.
If he have Vanessa, then he took her yesterday after I left! And he saw her with me! He's here, in LA!
The thought made my blood run cold and I stopped dead in my track. The tears ran faster down my face as I took my phone out of my pocket and dialled her number.
With shaking hand, I held the phone up to my ear. I watched Selena opposite of me as the phone rung and rung. Finally someone picked up.
"Hello sweetheart," his voice made it run cold down my back. I squeezed my eyes closed as I answered.
"Hello, Aiden," I said trembling. Selena quickly sat beside me holding me free hand. I got goosebumps as he chuckled. And not in a good way.
Before he could say anything else, I hung up the phone and threw it across the kitchen. I was sad, angry, afraid, scared and nervous all at the same time. And I was still crying.
"I can't believe it. He's back Selena. He has Vanessa," I said over and over while Selena tried to calm me.
"Who's back?" Selena asked softly, taking me hands in hers.
I looked at her and whispered, "Aiden, Selena. And he has Vanessa?"
"Who's Vanessa?" Selena asked, trying to change the subject.
"She's a friend I meet the other day. She was my hairdresser. She's really sweet, but I don't know," I said looking at the wall in front of me, in the other end of the kitchen.
"Oh yeah, I see you have gist highlights. It's nice!" Selena said trying to take my mind of stuff. It wasn't working, though.
"Th-th-a-thanks," I said through hiccups and sniffs. She smiled at me and I tried to smile back, though it wasn't near real.
Selena sighed and stood up. She held out her hand and helped me up. "Come on Becca. Let's get you cleaned up and watch a movie in your room. How does that sound?" She said and gripped my hand, leading me to my room and into my bathroom.
We ended up in my bed with ice cream and tissues and watched the notebook. Don't ask me why, but my mind shot down all the thoughts about Vanessa and Aiden and just enjoyed some sister quality time.
Hm.. Who's Aiden and why is Rebecca so afraid of him? Will she meet up with him, or stay away and hide?
Is it all really worth it for Rebecca? I'm not sure, so you will have to find out!
