It's been two weeks since Trey started going to my high school, and we've been talking quite a bit too. I think I've developed a crush on him, if I had a type, Trey is my type. He likes wearing either black skinny jeans or khakis, with flannels, band tee's and/or just regular t-shirts.
Trey is such a nice guy, he's funny and smart. That's why he moved to Florence in the first place, he needed a new start with people that didn't know who he was because of his education awards and scholarships. He's got a punk rock band, he sings and plays guitar.
All I can think about is Trey Trey Trey Trey, even when I'm with him at school and even texting him. On my mind it's Trey 24/7.
I check my phone to see a text message from Trey, meet me in 10mins at Corner.
I'm walking down to The Corner and I see Trey, he smiles as soon as he sees me and of course I smile back.
"Hey Olivia, I wanted to tell you something serious." He said in a concerned tone. "Uhm, yeah you got me scared now." I laughed nervously, and waited until he said, "Olivia, I really like you and I know we haven't been friends for long but that might be good, you're so beautiful, smart and funny and I love being with you, you make my day so much better and I get I'm 17 and you're 15 I get it's an age difference right now but I don't care." He said, all I could do was smile and I was fine with it and I walked over and hugged him, we stood there for an hour hugging each other. "Trey, I want to hug you forever but I have to be home soon." I said sadly. "Is it okay, if I walk you home?" He asked me. I sighed, "As long as you're with me Trey, I'll be fine."
We got to my doorstep, and Trey kissed me on the cheek and said, "I'm saving my other one for later," he smiled, and I blushed. I walked into the house, and turns out my mom was spying on us, "Who was that boy Olivia?" Then my dad walked in the room, "BOY?" He said concerned. I walked over towards them and sat them on the couch. "Mom, and Dad that boy I was with, his name is Trey and he likes me." They looked joyful, "Oh, hunny I'm so glad you're trying out dating, you're old enough now." I wasn't expecting them to say that, but fine. "Tell us about this Trey fella'." And that's what I did, I sat there all evening telling my parents about Trey and scholarships, Trey and bands, Trey and me, Trey's bruises and my bruises.
"Bruises?" My mom asked, "Why haven't you told us, it's important for us to know because me and your father went through the same thing." What is she telling me? "Your mother's right Olivia, I once fell off a rooftop and bruised my whole arm, the next day your mothers arm was bruised all over, we wondered why. So we went to see a Psychologist and the doctor determined we were soul mates." I still don't understand what they're telling me. "What are you telling me?" I asked. They sat there in silence until they said, "You are Trey are soul mates."
