18. A Touch Of Cancer

Luke's P.O.V

There I was again, sitting by myself thinking and often feeling lost in a nightmare.

I sat in a ball not really focusing on what was actually happening with my life at the moment.

To my surprise I saw a doctor come my way, the joy of being told awful news.

"Gemma has been diagnosed with lung cancer, the cancer hasn't spread we don't see any tumors anywhere else." Doctor Adams said

I nodded and went back to my seat, everything seemed to be going down hill now a days.

My lack of sleep really started to get to me, I kept seeing Ariana face when my eyes closed.

I was allowed to see Gemma 2 hours after they fully medicated her and such more.

On this day I can actually say I have killed two beautiful people. Now one was dying and I was trying to get the other back.

Life my dear friends is complicated but enough about me.

When I walked into the white walled room to see her, I saw tubes stuck into her fragile body and the tank of oxygen running.

"Hey" I whispered

"Hi" she whispered back

"How are you doing?" I asked

"Cut the bullshit Luke, I know you want to know how this happened." She said

"Yeah," I replied,"so amuse me."

She gave me a glare

"It's strange how he works. He just gives the wrong choices something to die for or with. I guess mine is cancer. Luke I know you still love me deep down and you have big feelings for Ariana. Please don't leave me to die. I feel like I'm about to die now, trust me she will be back. For now please love me again and help." Gemma said while gasping for air

"I never stopped loving you, you acted like a conceded brat and it was pissing me off. I will be here for you through this and try and help you." I replied

She smiled and closed her eyes.

I left the hospital with fear in my mind and hope in my heart that day.

For what it's worth my days of being "depressed" were over for a long time.

My life was a falling roller coaster that will always be crashing down to pieces.
