My eyes shot open and my head flew off my pillow. I was half in tears. I was breathing heavily and I couldn't think straight. Luke wasn't beside me and I was in a panicked state. I jumped out of bed. "Luke!" I cried. He came running. "Babe! What happened?" He asked worriedly. I ran over to him and hugged him tightly. "Oh my god. I thought I lost you forever!" I said in a small sob. Luke hugged me. "Shh... It's OK. I'm right here." He said, stroking my hair as I cried. "Everything is OK." He said softly. He lead me down the stairs and into the kitchen. He gave me a drink of water and sat me at the island, him sitting beside me. His arm wrapped around my shoulder. I had a hard time trying to calm down. "It was just a bad dream. Everything is OK." He whispered. I nodded, still breathing heavily. He kissed my shoulder. I turned and hugged him. He stroked my hair and kissed the top of my head, telling me I'd never lose him. Finally, I calmed down and I let go of him. He smiled to see I was OK now and spun me around. I giggled as he dipped me and pressed his lips to mine. He stood up straight, not breaking the kiss. We started to make out a little as we got heated. He pulled away before we got too heated. "I love you." He panted. "I love you, too." I said. "I can't believe you have to go back to school in 5 days." He whined. "You know I don't want to, but I have to." I sighed. "I'll drive you go school and home if you want. Everyday." He said. "That would be nice." I said with a smile. He smiled back and kissed my cheek. My phone rang. "Hello?" I answered, sitting on the couch. "Hey! Darian, where are you?" Hollie asked. "Somewhere safe." I said. Luke sat beside me and tried to kiss me. I pushed him away. "Really? Why aren't you safe at home?" She asked. "My parents are abusive." I said as Luke is still trying to attach his face to mine. "Luke! Stop!" I snapped. That only made him try harder. He was going for my neck now. "You OK?" Hollie asked. "Ya, Luke's just trying to kiss me." I hissed. "Oh..." She said. "Just don't tell anyone!" I said. "I won't." She said. "Sorry, Hollie, I gotta go before Luke takes my phone." I said. "KK." She said and we hung up. "Dude! What the hell?!" I asked. "I love kissing my girlfriend, it's too hard not to." He said. My heart jumped. He called me his girlfriend. He attached himself to my neck, kissing it all over. I let a small, quiet moan escape my lips. He stopped and started sucking on my neck. I started slapping his leg as I threw my head back with my eyes shut. "Luke!" I shrieked. He smiled against my neck and he started biting it. I started pounding my foot on the floor. Luke used his hand to pulled my legs off the floor and over to his lap. Still making out with my neck and me moaning, he pulled me on his lap and stopped. "I couldn't help myself." He breathed. I smiled. "It's OK, Luke." I said and snuggled into his chest.
-5 Days Later-
I stood in front of the mirror in our room. I had ripped skinny jeans on with a black T-shirt, and one of Luke's many beanies. I smiled slightly. "You look beautiful." Luke said from the doorway, causing me to jump. I put my hand over my heart, trying to slow it down. Luke laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist. He leaned down and passionately pressed his lips to mine. We didn't go very far before we pulled away. "I love you, you know that?" He asked. "It's hard to forget when you won't stop telling me." I said. Luke let me jump onto his back and we hurried out to his car. My backpack and everything was in my locker at school, so I didn't have anything with me. When he pulled up to my school, my heart started to pound. We haven't left the house since the concert, but people might have gotten pictures. Luke kissed my shoulder. "It's OK. I'll be back." He said. I sighed. I turned and looked Luke in the eyes. "Bye..." I said quietly. He took my hand in one and placed his hand on the back of my neck with the other. He pulled me gently to his lips and pressed his lips to mine. He pulled away. "Love you." He said sadly. "Love you, too." I said and climbed out of the car. As I walked towards the school, I looked back and waved a bit. He waved back and drove away. I sighed and walked into school.
I had a fake smile on my face as I climbed into Luke's car. We drove home in silence, but when we got in, he closed the door and took my hands. I knew he knew I was faking. I had a few tears escape my eyes. "Don't you dare cry. I can't stand seeing you cry." He said. I looked down at the floor and cried silently. "Look at me." He said softly. I looked up into his eyes. He pressed his forehead to mine. "Listen to me and only me. Look at me and don't look away.... Don't look away... Everything is OK. I'm here now. They're just assholes who wouldn't know beautiful or perfect if it slapped them in the face." He told me. We rubbed our noses together. He kissed the tip of my nose and I smiled a little. "See! There's my gorgeous girl!" He said. I giggled a bit. He hugged me and kissed the top of my head. When we got home, he and I went over to the couch. Luke laid down and pulled me on top of him so I was laying on him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I rested my head on his chest. I closed my eyes. My hands by my head, resting on his chest. I snuggled into his chest and he tightened his grip on me. "If you fall sleep, I'll be here with you. When you wake up, I'll still be here. I promise." He whispered. I drifted off into a deep sleep.
-A Few Hours Later-
I woke up and I was starving. I was laying on a sleeping Luke. He looked so cute. "Luke." I said softly, stroking his cheek with my thumb. He stirred, but didn't wake up. I ran my fingers through his hair and he shook a bit. His eyes opened slowly. "Hey." He said in his raspy (sexy) voice. "Hey." I giggled. He sat up, causing me to sit up. He still kept his arms around me. "I'm hungry." I said. Luke laughed and took my hand. "How about we go to dinner tonight." He suggested. "Sure." I said. "Dress nice. Not that a beautiful lady like you would have to." He said. "I take offence! I'm not a lady!" I said, planting my hands on my hips. Luke laughed and lifted me up. He carried me upstairs and we got ready. I picked out the nicest shirt I had and a pair of jeans. I looked good and I smiled at the mirror. Luke was knocking on the door. "Ready?" He asked. "Yup." I said, opening the door. He smiled in approval for what I was wearing. "As good as you look in that, I think you'd look better with it on the floor." He said with a smirk. "Shut up." I said and began to walk by, but Luke stopped me and pressed his lips to mine. "Love you." He said as our lips just brushed each other. It sent a tingling feeling through my body. I pulled him back and he smiled against my lips.
Luke couldn't keep his lips off mine. Everytime I tried to walk away, he'd kiss me again. I knew he wanted more out of me, but he knew this was the best he was getting. "Luke, I need to sleep. I'm tired." I said. He tightened his grip on me. "I don't need sleep. I just need you." He said, pressing his lips to mine again for the 100th time. I pulled away and he tried to come again. "Luke! I'm fucking serious! I'm tired as fuck and I have school in the morning!" I snapped. He let go and looked shocked at my sudden outburst. "It was funny and cute the first few times, but you've crossed the line this time." I said and headed to MY room, not our room, aka his room. I closed and locked my door. I got into my pyjamas and that's when Luke started pounding on my door. "Babe, please! I'm sorry!" He said. "Sorry don't cut it right now, Luke. You know I hate things like that. You can stand there all night, cuz I can just play music all night, blocking you out." I said. I put in my earbuds. "Come on, Dari..." He didn't finish before I turned my music on. No matter how loud I made it, he'd pound harder. My iPod died just as I fell asleep. I woke up to 'She Looks So Perfect' and I jumped out of bed. Waking me up was never a smart idea. I flung the door open, letting it slam against the wall. "Lucius Robert Hemmings! Are you fucking crazy!?" I shouted. He looked up at me and his eyes were red and puffy. His cheeks stained with tears. He stood up and took my hands. He pressed his lips to mine and pulled away after a moment. "Yes, I am crazy. I'm crazy about you. All I wanted was to feel happy. You're the reason I'm happy. Right now, kissing you is the only way I can show you I care." He said in a shaky voice. "Luke, I... I'm so sorry I got mad." I said, hanging my head. He pulled me closer and kissed the top of my head. "I love you too much to let you slip away." He whispered. I buried my face into his chest and he held me close to him. "I'm sorry." I said into his shirt, crying a bit. He pushed me off and pressed his lips to mine. I grabbed his shoulders and he held my waist. We made out a little bit. He pulled away. "I will love you forever. No matter what." He said. "Will you stay with me tonight?" I asked. "Of course I will. And every other night for the rest of our lives." He said. I smiled and we headed back to our room. I crawled in and he ripped off his shirt to sleep. He caught me staring at him. "You like what you see, don't you?" He asked. I nodded, keeping a straight face. He leaned over me and stared into my eyes. "I like what I see, too." He said in a low, husky voice. He was trying to seduce me. It was kinda working. "Come on, babe. Let me see you." He said, leaning towards my face. I rolled over. "Haha! Tricked ya! I knew you wouldn't want to, I wanted to see your reaction." He said. "Luke, you fucking handsome asshole." I groaned. He hopped into bed in front of me and I snuggled into his chest. This boy had abs and I couldn't help staring a bit.
-The Next Morning-
My alarm went off. I rolled over and turned it off. I went to get up, but Luke attached himself to me. He pulled me closely to his chest. "I don't want you to leave. You're not going to school! You just get hurt and I hate seeing you like that!" He said sleepily. I sighed. "Luke, I gotta go. I'm sorry." I said. "No you don't! I can call your school and tell them your not going to school anymore! I'm technically your guardian!" He said. "Luke..." I started. "No! Don't argue! I'm calling and you're not going! You come home everyday crying and it breaks my heart to know you're being bullied!" He said. "Fine. At least let me go today." I said. "Fair enough." He said. I got up and started to get ready. I was happy Luke cared enough to get me out of school.
I was thrown against the lockers and my stuff went everywhere. I let out a yelp of pain. "You're gonna pay for not having our work done!" Ryan, the leader of the whole group of most the school. I was on the ground. "Don't you dare lay a fucking hand on my girlfriend!" Someone snapped. Luke! I tired to push myself up to my feet, but my arm hurt too much. I saw Ryan go down, then a few others before people started running away. Luke rushed over to me and pulled me to my feet. "Babe, are you alright?" He asked, full of concern. I was about to burst out into tears. If I spoke, I'd cry. Luke noticed and kissed my cheek. "It's OK." He said. He gathered my stuff up for me and pecked my lips. He took my hand and walked me out. "You're no longer registered here. You're staying home." He said. I hugged him. "Thank you." I said. He helped me into the car and we headed home. When we got in, I collapsed onto the couch and wanted to die. Luke sat beside me, playing with my hair. I pushed my head into his lap and looked up at him. "My parents always said no one would ever love me. They can shoves those words up their asses." I said. Luke laughed and I sat up. Luke pulled me into his lap and kissed my cheek. "I'll keep you safe." He said and wrapped his arms around me. "Luke, I'm hungry." I whined. "Of course. Come on." He said, standing up. I giggled and we walked to the kitchen.
"Sleep in tomorrow. You need it." Luke said, kissing my forehead. I sighed and crawled into bed. Luke fell asleep far before I did. I got up and found a book. I sat down under the covers and started reading it. It had a lot of pages, but I'd finish it far before anyone else would. After I got through 158 pages, Luke shot up, breathing heavily. "What happened?" I asked. "Nothing." He said, shaking his head. "Luke... It's something. Tell me." I said, putting the book down and cuddling with him. "I thought you died. I watched you walk off an old bridge." He said. "Don't worry. I'm still here." I said. He kissed my forehead and we fell asleep.
I woke up to something licking my face. My eyes fluttered open to see the cutest English Foxhound puppy in the world. "Oh my god! You're so cute!" I said, sitting up. I then felt a tongue in my ear. I turn to see a tuxedo kitten with green eyes. "Holy shit! Why are you so cute!" I squeaked. "They need names." Luke said from the doorway, causing me to jump. "Why did you get 2 animals!?" I asked. "Because. I know you love animals and I saw these guys yesterday while you were at school. I thought you'd love them as much as I did. Plus, they got so upset when I asked for the puppy, that I just had to take the kitten too." He said, sitting beside me. "The puppy was the runt of her group. So was the kitten, who's a girl as well." He said. I hugged Luke. "I don't deserve you. Thank you." I said and kissed his cheek. He kissed the top of my head. "How about Candy and Tiny?" I asked. "Sure, but who's who?" He asked. "The dog is Tiny and the kitten is Candy." I said. Luke wrapped his arm around me and kissed my cheek.
