"Wow that was a long, progressive day," I said to Jessica. "Yeah i know. I'm already sick and tired of school," she laughed. "Anyways I gotta go. See you tomorrow Danielle." "See yeah," I said as I grabbed my phone from my purse. I don't like using my phone in public, because I have one of those old flip phones. My parents don't have enough money to buy me a new phone, so i guess I'm stuck with this. My mom told me to call her right when I end, so her and my dad don't get worried. As I was dialing her number, a black Porsche, came speeding my way, the side mirror hitting my hand causing my phone to drop and break. As I bend down to grab the pieces from my phone, a tall, handsome man walks out of the car and helps me. "I'm soo sorry!" He said. "Yeah you really should watch where your going next time." "Oh my god, did I break your phone?" he asked apologetically. "Yeah it's no big deal," I lied. It was a really big deal. How was I suppose to explain this to my parents. Now my dad's never gonna let me come back here again. "Here come with me and I'll drive you home, and don't worry I'll buy you a new phone," he said. "No, I don't need your sympathy," I said angrily. I was getting so annoyed from his niceness. He was cute and all, but I can't stand him already. "No, come on, I insist. It's the least I can do," he begged. "Fine whatever," I said getting into the car. He laughed and got into the car too. "Why are you laughing?" I asked annoyed. "Because you're so cute when you're mad," he said poking my nose. "Get your hands off do me. Is int even know you," I yelled. "Oh yeah sorry. We'll I'm jack gilinsky." "Um, I never asked," I said looking out the window. I didn't even want to look at him. I was scared I would feel something if I did, because he's so cute and nice, it would be hard to stay away. "We'll sorry for trying to be polite. If you don't mind me asking, what's your name?" "Danielle Adams." "Oh that's a cute name," he said. We didn't really talk much after that, Exocet when I told him what streets to turn on. We were 2 blocks away from my house, when I told him to stop. "My house is just down there, but you can drop me off here, I'll walk." "Are you sure?" He asked. We'll obviously I'm sure. I don't want him to know where I leave. Well at least not yet. I want to try to keep a high reputation. "Yeah," I said getting out of the car. "We'll see you tomorrow then," he said. I didn't answer him back. I closed the door and waited for him to leave before I started walking home. Man I can't get his image out of my head. His big brown eyes, his dark brown perfect hair and the way he flips it is just irresistible. I tried shaking his image out of my head, but it was so hard. I finally got to my apartment. I walked down the 2 flights of stairs and opened the door to our house. As I walk in I see my parents standing by the door glaring at me. "Where have you been? I've been trying to call you for the past hour!!" My dad screamed. I was so scared I couldn't tell him what really happened because he won't let me go back. "I was taking out my phone to call you guys, but I dropped my phone and it kinda broke." I felt the guilt look in my face and I had a feeling my mom knew I wasn't saying the whole story from the look she gave me. "You're such a clumsy person. I guess you're not going to have a phone for the next couple months, unless you get it fixed. I'm not going to let you go to college without a phone," my dad said calming down. "I'll go and try to get it fixed tomorrow. And does that mean I can still go?!" "I actually thought about it, and figured its a good idea to let you go to college," my dad said. "Yesss! Thank you so much," I said hugging him. I went to my room to put my things away, when my mom walked in. "Tell me the truth," she said. "Truth about what?" I asked. "You know, about your phone." "I already told you guys what happened," i said. "Yeah, yeah sure," she said walking out of my room because my dad called he to get dinner ready. Phew. That was a close one. I promised myself that this was going to be the first and last time I lie to my parents.
I got dressed, wearing a short black skirt with a white long sleeved shirt, and obviously something on top of my outfit so my parents won't see. I grabbed my bag, said bye to my parents and walked out. On my way upstairs, I bumped into Julie. "Hey Danielle." "Hey Julie. I forgot to thank you for the clothes you gave me yesterday. I loved them." "Oh no problem. It's my gift to you for getting accepted to Stanford. Oh by the way I have to show you something." She takes out a magazine from her bag and points to this gorgeous party dress. "Do you like?" She asked. "Oh my god. Yes it's perfect for you." "Who said its for me?" She winked. "You better not," I said. "Too late," she said. "Ugh I hate you." "Love you too," she said. I seen her staring at something on the next page. I look over to see what it was, but she closed it quickly so I wouldn't see. "What is that?" I asked. "Nothing," she said quickly. "Come on. I'm your best friend,s how me," I insisted. "Fine." She opened it to the page and showed me. It was a tall guy with brown hair, big brown eyes. He looked so familiar, but I don't know where I've seen him. "He's my idol,"she said, "I'd do anything to meet him."
