Thora woke up from her fever dream. It was almost morning from what she can tell and no one in the cabin was awake. She decided this was her chance to leave without anyone coming after her. She had wanted to leave since she had stumbled upon Asher's territory but didn't know how to break it to him. He would surely hunt her down if she tried to run. She didn't even know where she was as she grabbed her bag and slid from the bed quietly.
After Asher realized that Thora's state was much worse then he anticipated he quickly rushed her to the only dragon he knew capable of being able to heal her. Luna wasn't too far away from where they were and she owed Asher a favor anyhow. Christopher was surprised to see them come as he had never seen many other dragons before. Luna dressed Thora's wounds and drew the poison out from her veins. Letting her sleep for three days.
She was outside the house now and as she turned to leave she bumped into a body that made her leap and gasp. It was a young boy with blond hair and piercing blue eyes. He had a rabbit in one hand and a dagger that was sheathed on his side. He smiled at the dragon girl but she was not smiling at him.
"Who are you?" Thora hissed at him. His smiled disappeared as he realized she was not going to be friendly.
"I'm Christopher. Christopher Park." He told her with a straight face." The dragon Asher brought you to us when you weren't getting better. My dragon Luna healed your poison." Christopher explained quickly.
"Well, Christopher Park thank you for healing my poison but I have to be going. It is not safe for me to be here." She told him, trying to move out of his way.
"Where are you going?" He questioned.
"The longer I stay here the more danger I will be putting you in so it is best if I leave now." Thora told the boy. He let out a small laugh.
"There are currently three dragons staying here. I actually feel pretty safe to be honest." Christopher told her gesturing to her. Thora only shook her head.
"What about Asher? He cares about you." Christopher added.
"Especially because of Asher. I don't want to pull him into my mess." Thora said as the wind seemed to change and her ears perked up. A scent came to her nose, one that was unfamiliar and another that she remembered.
"Marie, or at least that's what I think her name is. She will be here soon; as for me I have to go I can't sit here all day." Thora growled the last part. Christopher sighed and shrugged.
"Fine, just swear to me that when this has all blown over you will find your way back to us, don't forget who your friends are." Christopher smiled. It quickly faded as the door creaked open and Asher was now standing there.
"Shit." Thora muttered as she took him in. His torso was exposed and his hair was ruffled as he had just woken up. He had on pants and was barefoot. He was confused as he looked at the scene before him.
"Thora? What are you doing?" Asher questioned. She scratched the back of her head and squinted at him. She was frowning as she spoke, "Listen, Asher, its not safe for me to be here." She said pacing back and forth, this was not going to be easy with him. "I need to leave before the hunters come for me and you are all taken out as collateral damage."
He seemed more alert now, his eyes wide and he was moving fast down the step to her. "I'm coming with you then. Remember what I told you back in the caves. I'm not letting you walk out of my life that easily." Asher said taking her hand. Her mind spun for a moment and she saw her sister as she gripped Thora's wrist tightly.
"Let go of me Asher. I'm leaving and you cannot stop me." She growled low.
"Like hell I'm not." He returned the growl and Christopher ducked back into the house just before Thora's spiked tail swung out. She roared in anger as she met Asher's dragon form halfway. The ground shook as they pushed on another back and as Thora went to pounce again, Asher was pushing her farther into the woods, away from the cabin. He rumbled low in his throat and swung at her, she ducked and knocked him over with her tail. He was not so easily swayed though. She went for one more attack but was too late. Asher had pounced and was over her; they both turned into their human selves as they hit the soft earth. The only sound that was heard where their breaths and birds chirping.
"Please don't leave me, Thora." Asher said as he looked down at her. She knew she couldn't leave him now. Though the fire in her heart wanted freedom she knew Asher would follow her. She sighed as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I won't leave you." She told him. For now, was the thought she had after. His eyes were soft as he dipped his head down and kissed her.
