9. That Should Be Me
That Should Be Me
*Harry Styles POV*
"Shit mom, do I have to stay with a freshman?" I am practically whining by now. She looks at me disapprovingly, "Don't swear at me Harry." I roll my eyes and kick the bags at my feet. "Anyway Harry, you and I are staying with her because her mother is going away." She says and then walks out the door. I follow her out shuffling my feet, neither of my parents know how I feel about Alison. I don't even know how I feel about her to be honest. I want her, I REALLY do. I want to run my fingers threw her hair and watch her cheeks flush red like they always do. But I know I can't because Louis told me to back off, he told me to never talk to her. He thinks that I'm not capable of having a girlfriend, only one night stands. Even though I know I am. Louis just thinks that since he is in love with Alison that he can call her his territory. We don't really talk anymore. I get into the car and turn the music all the way up. My mom immediately turns it down and glares at me. And at that moment I almost start to cry, because everyone around me thinks I am a rude and horrible person who doesn't give a fucking shit about the people around me. Thats the problem, I care too much, I care too damn much about everyone thats why I'm not nice to them. Because If I am I'll leave them, in the end I know I will leave them. "Honey, we are here." My mom snaps. I must have been spacing out for a long time. I open the door and walk up the front steps of her house. I am going to be in her house. My mom knocks on the front door. I hear someones footsteps running down stairs. Then the door knob turns and for a second I see my world. I see a beautiful girl smiling at me, her eyes twinkling, and then I realize that she's not looking at me. She's looking behind me, her eyes are twinkling for a person who just walked up behind me. She's smiling for someone my mom is now shaking hands with.
She looking at Louis, when she should be looking at me.
