Tell about a character who lost something important to him/her.
Where was it? Where had she seen it last? It had been missing for days. She locked herself in her room, refusing to come out or let anyone in until it was found. When a week had gone by without it being found and the girl locked away, her parents broke the door down. They found their daughter unconscious and near death. She was rushed to the hospital.
"Why didn't you just buy her a new one?" the nurse asked.
The parents did not answer, but they did as the nurse suggested.
Life slowly returned to their daughter, enough that she returned to consciousness. Her psychiatrist told her to write down all her thoughts--and data--into a journal. She wrote poetry:
Clutching my heart, life, contacts and connection to the world,
Ears straining to catch every word when you talked or chimed,
Life became dull without you,
Life is meaningless without you.
Phone, please come back to me, don't disappear. Why were you silent?
How can I survive when you die in less than a day, or when you disappear?
Owner of my data, texts, photos, contacts:
Never leave me alone.
Even though you cannot fit in my pocket, you are the master and I, your
AP exam week and college finals week. I'm going to keep up on updating now.
