15. chapter 15:
I creaked the door open and saw a dark figure on my bed. "Um.... Who are you?" I asked. That when I saw him, he turned around. The one person I did not want to see.
I couldn't do it. I quickly ran out of there and ran out the door. Louis followed me out. "Where are you going?" He asked. "I thought I could do it. But I can't. I thought he loved me, but he didn't. So I can't stay and I won't see you again" I started to cry. I loved Louis like a dad, but sometimes you have to do what's for the best.
I walked down the black tar driveway and as I got to the gate I looked back. I saw Louis standing there "Can you ask Marty to grab my stuff. I'm heading to the airport to fly home and go to an orphanage. I'm going to wait till I'm 18 and then I will come find you" I started to cry even harder. By now Louis was crying too. "It's only 5 years Lou" I said between sniffles.
That's when I ran back and grabbed Louis. I pulled him into a big bear hug and I was not going to let go of him.
"Stay with me. You can live with me and you don't have to go." He suggested. I shook my head "I know I'm making a really big deal out of it. But I don't want to be somewhere where I'm not wanted let alone needed!" I let go of Louis and walked back down the driveway.
I walked along the sidewalk and tried to navigate myself to Marty's house. It took me a couple of hours but I seemed to make it back ok. Marty was so worried about me because I didn't have my phone one me and she couldn't contact me.
"Did you get my stuff?" I asked. "Yep." She nodded. "I need you to buy me tickets to Cheshire so I can live in an orphanage for now. When I turn 18 I will com and visit you and the boys. I promise" I said. She gave me a big hug and nodded.
She logged onto the computer and brought a one way ticket to go there. I ran up the stairs and packed my suitcase. I made sure I had everything and then jumped into bed. As soon as my face hit the pillow the world went black.
"Goodbye Darcy. I will miss you so much!" Marty squeezed me. I shrieked.she let go and laughed. I gave her one last hug and walked onto the plane. Time to go home.
"We will be landing in Cheshire soon. Please turn of all your electronic devices and fasten your seat belts" the women's voice said over the loud speaker.
We had landed and when I got off the plane someone was holding up a sign that said 'Darcy Reagan'. I walked up to him. "I'm from the orphanage" was all he said.
