Don't Let Me Go

"I need to see you Abilene. I need to know you're ok, something, anything. Please, just call me back. It's been 2 weeks. I can't take it anymore. I love you with everything I have. Give Liza a kiss for me." Harry pleaded on her answering machine. Never in his life, did he think he would be having to beg a girl to come back to him, but there he was, doing just that. He missed Eliza terribly and hadn't been able to sleep in their bed without Abilene laying next to him. He still thought it was their room, even though none of her belongings were there, he thought if he smelt the bed sheets hard enough, he could still smell her perfume. It helped him feel like she was still there with him, but no matter how hard he looked through the house, he had to face the hard fact of reality, that she wasn't and it was gonna prove to be a challenge to get her back. But he needed to, not only for himself, but for Eliza. He wanted her to grow up with both her parents and if that was the last thing he did

1. I Need You.

It had been 2 weeks since he spoke to Abilene or even tried to make contact with her. When he finally tracked her down at an apartment a little outside of central London, she wouldn't even look at him. It destroyed him to see her like that. With no confidence, fragile, like she could breakdown any minute. It wasn't the Abilene he knew. She spoke with a raspy voice, as if she had lost it. She told him she was feeling under the weather, but he knew it was from crying, he knew how she got. That was another thing that tore him apart, knowing she had cried over this more than she let on.

He begged her to come back home but she wasn't having it and soon grew short tempered. "I just wanna be alone! What part of that don't you get? I don't wanna see you!" She yelled in his face, and as soon as it came out of her mouth, she instantly regretted it. She didn't want to come off as rude, but she had had enough. She didn't want to go back home, hell, she didn't even want him to find her. That's why she came here, she knew he knew nothing about it. But he found her anyway. His face gave it all away, he was on the verge of collapsing on the floor, in a hysterical state.

She knew it was hard on him, but she didn't think he understood how hard the whole thing has been on her. And she was right, not once did Harry thing about what how his actions would affect Abilene. Not when he didn't call her, not when he started drinking himself into an oblivion, not when he started hanging out with a lot of women at the clubs, he didn't think about her until he did the worst thing possible and didn't even get to tell her for himself. She found out on the gossip channel, not even from the lips of the man who supposedly loved her.

They both had things tearing them apart, but Abilene needed a little more time to be alone and think. "I need time Harry." She mumbled, her eyes never leaving the floor. He walked over to her and tilted her head up to look at him. "I will give you all the time you need, just tell me how long." He begged. If time was what she wanted, he would give it to her. If he really respected her and loved her, he could do that for her. "Give me at least 2 weeks. I'll call you when I'm ready to see you." She said as the tears started brimming in her eyes. He nodded and gave her a slight kiss on the forehead, not wanting to overstep his boundaries. "I'll give you anything. I just want you back in our bed at night, in our house. It's not the same without you." He admitted before he walked out of the apartment door.

As soon as the door closed, she broke down on the floor. Her cries were something she had been hearing too often lately. They were harder and more painful than before. Every sob she let out, she felt like something was breaking. She had been so sore from all the crying, she didn't know how much she could take. Harry slumped down the door with his forehead in his hands as he let out quiet sobs. He wanted to run back in there when he heard her heart wrenching sobs, but didn't know if he should. They weren't her normal cries, you could hear the hurt and pain in them. It made him feel like an even bigger piece of shit. He was gonna go everything in his power to get her to forgive him.

These two weeks would be what decided her fate. Whether she would be a single mother, and have to share custody and figure out birthdays and holidays. Or whether her family would be back under one roof and actually be a happy family like hey wanted to be. It would determine if Eliza lived with both her parents, or separated her weekends and holidays with either parent.
