Okay, I have been through a few weird things in my life, but this was absolutely, positively, THE LAST STRAW. I mean, the nerve! In case you don't know me yet, my name is Sarah, and I am an angel. Now, when I say angel, I don't mean some cheesy little blonde girl in a rose petal dress and a halo. I mean an actual angel, we exist to battle the demons, and using whatever possible means we can and I don't have many special powers. I live in the mortal world, find demons, and destroy them before they can wreak havoc on the world. So you can understand why being kidnapped by demons would be a pretty big setback, right?
Laura grins at me. Why is she grinning? This can't be good news. Laura, she’s the red-haired devil that I made the mistake of trusting once. Now, don’t mistake devils and demons. There are three devils in the world, Laura is one of them, and they lead the demons. There are thousands, maybe millions of those. I know I have to get out of here, so I slowly reach for the blade in my pocket, hoping that Laura won’t notice, but she does. She points her gun straight at my head.
“What are you doing?” She asks cautiously. Too late. They really should have tied me up while I was unconscious. I suddenly lunge at her. She isn’t prepared, because she figured I didn’t have the nerve to do that, and by the time she comes to her senses, I’m already halfway across the room with her gun in tow. Not that it would be of much use if she caught me again. She’s immune to bullets.
I run down the white corridor of their base, and run smack into……. Laura’s dad. I step back. Laura’s dad, former devil, when he turned forty, his powers were transferred onto her, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t dangerous. He smirks. I would shoot at him, but that would completely violate the rules. Angels can’t shoot to kill unless they’re attempting to kill US. (This is a stupid rule if you ask me.) I’m trapped. Laura catches up to me, out of breath. Her piercing yellow eyes bore into mine.
“You’re in a WHOLE lot of trouble now, angel girl.”
