I sit up and look around the room. Box shreddings everywhere, along with some of my personal possessions. Yep this is definitely my room. My mom walks in the room, “Thank goodness you're finally awake and on the bed. I was getting worried!” She sighs and sits down. “What do you mean on the bed? And whose bed is this anyways?” My mom then continues to explain to me what happened. Basically, I’ve been passed out for five days now. After two days some movers came and brought bed that I’m in now. On the third day is when things started getting strange, my mom came into check on me and I was floating. Yes I was floating not flying, more like levitating right in mid air above my bed and apparently muttering some pretty strange things like darkness, overwhelming, of age, and powerful at least that what my mom says.I’ve already put two and two together and figured out it has to do with my powers. Recently I’ve been getting angrier easier, and my fourteenth birthday just recently happened so I think I know what’s going on. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s been a couple of weeks now and I've been recording myself sleeping. I’ve only been levitating the nights when I lose control, oh and another thing, I have also been seeing that dark figure more often. I think it’s changing color and sometimes maybe an animal to. Whenever I see that thing it causes me to go berserk and I just can’t figure out why. I’ve been trying to think happily before I go to bed but I kind of like the thought of floating without knowing it. Anyway I have my first day of normal school tomorrow so I better get to bed.
I wake up this morning like every day except it’s six-thirty and I’m extremely tired and a little cranky. Trudging downstairs slowly, I see that my mom is up and doesn’t look any happier than me to be here. I smell something good and look at the table to see a delicious looking plate of bacon and eggs. The eggs look absolutely tasty with cheese sprinkled on top, and the bacon looks so tendaer, juicy, and fatty. Sorry I got carried away. After breakfast I say goodbye to my mom as I pull on my coat that covers my wings. Grabbing my backpack I head out to the bus
Once the bus comes and everyone stares at me as I avert my gaze and sit in an empty seat. I’m staring out the window but not looking at anything in particular, thinking of the best possible way to avoid people all throughout the day. I coming to a decision right before we get there that I’m going to avoid eye contact and just ignore anyone who tries to be friendly to the “new girl.”
At school I walk to the principal's office to go over my schedule before class. After ten minutes of trying to be tough and not let off any suspicions, I walk out the door and head off to my first class. I know I’m late as I walk in and all eyes are on me. The rest of the school day goes the same way and most of the people get the message that I don’t want any friends. Except for one girl who said her name Fawn. She seemed really nice and I felt sad to see her go for some reason.
I walk home thinking of the day when all of the sudden I’m almost home and I notice a bird that’s been following the whole way home. Rushing home I close the door behind me as I sigh feeling safe at home. I sight thinking my mom must be down at the reserve because of the sudden silence running in the house.
