11. Chapter 11:
I ran out of Jaxon's pack house in nothing more than his sheets. Why did Mate have to come over and mess everything? I had just mated with Jaxon Nd just like that Mate came in the middle. I bit my lip as I ran towards the forest, thankful that no one seem me like this.
I hissed as a branch cut through my shoulder. I slowly walked towards Mates pack house so I could get my cloths.
As I reached the pack house I hesitated slightly at how quiet and empty it looked. I would have expected everyone to be out having fun, but everything was silent.
I bit my lips and slowly stepped towards the lack house. My mark burned as I took another step further. Now that I have mated with Jaxon, for the first I few days I will need to be with him otherwise I would be in a hell of a lot of pain.
I winced as another shot of pain spread through my body and quickly opened the door of the house and ran up the stairs to my room. The faster I would get my stuff, I would be able to be with Jaxon. I didn't want to ponder on whatever Mate had said. Whatever love I had for him was buried down under. I wouldn't believe that Jax wasn't my mate.
The attraction felt between mates couldn't be something that could be faked. No matter how strong the person might be especially since Jax's father had killed the witch of the old house there was not one being as powerful as her.
I must be missing something out here. For some reason I felt like being cautious of Mate, as if he was up to something. If he truly loved me and was under surveillance, he wouldn't have beaten me up as he did, he would have mated me and faced the consequences. That showed how weak a mate he was.
"Nat" Jax called out in my head and I strained my brain to listen to his words.
"Yeah?" I called back softly, missing his warmth and love.
"Don't go to Mates pack house by any chance. They were attacked" Jax said and I stiffened.
I looked around the room and quickly put on a pair of jeans and a sweater and jumped out of the window. Shit! I knew something was wrong.
"I need you to come back" Jax said hurriedly and I could hear the worry and anxiety in his voice.
"On my way....I love you" I whispered softly as I landed on my feet.
"I love you too...You are my mate, no matter what Mate says" Jax whispered back and I cut out our mind link.
I heard the rustle of branches as I made my way towards the forest. I stopped walking and strained my ears to catch onto my nose.
I hesitated as a particular smell hit my nose and slowly stepped towards it. Common sense told me I should hurry to Jax, but curiosity got the better of me.
And don't they say curiosity kills the cat?
I whispered around to face whoever it was and suddenly was hit across the face. I stumbled and fell down, banging my head on a rock.
"You shouldn't roam around alone" the voice hissed and I lost consciousness.
"I don't care about what you want, Nat is my mate now in every sense. There is no way that I can break the bond with her and neither do I want to" I snarled through my teeth as Mate stood there angrily.
I didn't care as to what Mate thought. If the witches had played a move and I had been fooled then I would die, but there was no way I was going to regret meeting Natalie. She and I were meant to be together, no matter what anyone said.
"How can you sit this still when you don't know where she is? If your mate is Natalie as you say you should have broken this house apart." Mate growled as he stepped towards me.
Snarling I attacked him, making him lower his head in respect.
"You are in my pack house Mate, you will respect me or I will kick you out right now"
Mate glared at me but kept his mouth shut. He slowly stepped away from me and left. I sighed and slammed down onto the bed. I just hope Nat is safe otherwise I would tear everyone apart.
After what seemed like hours, I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up and say Kate, one of mates pack members. I snarled at her and she winced and stepped away.
"What do you want?" I asked trying to control my temper. I didn't need to know that she was responsible for ill treating Nat.
" I just wanted to check on you are you alright?" She asked softly and I looked at her dumbfounded. I guess girls like her never rightened themselves. Was she going to throw herself at me and think that I would accept her?
"That is nome of your concerns. I have a mate for that, so please leave" I seethed out and my wolf howled loudly. I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my skull and my eyes widened in realisation.
I clenched my jaw and stepped out of Jaxon's pack house. I looked around and made sure that no one was looking for me and quietly made my way towards the woods.
I stepped out of Jaxon's territory and slipped into mine. Making my way towards the centre of the pack house, I knelt down and slowly started to chant
"Phieska mutore anite mongre"
(Translation- open up the witch of the old house-witch language)
The ground beneath me slowly started to shake and I kept my eyes closed until the ground stopped shaking. I smirked as I looked up as I saw the witches clan house.
I slowly made my way towards them, letting them know of my presence. I smiled as I saw Nat lying on the ground I front of Arua, the old witch. Jaxon's father really thought that he had killed the old witch of the house, but in reality she was very much living because of her other half, Mousata.
"Mate" she hissed as she turned to look at me. I smiled at her and hugged her.
Ismirked as I saw Mate run towards Arua to give her a hug. I really had to give it to her. Even though Mate was her son, she didn't think twice before making him the sacrifice.
The poor fellow didn't even know what he was doing. He had been under Arua's spell all these years. It hadn't been Mate beating Nat, but Arua attacking through Mates body.
I hissed softly in my mind and Arua's face snapped towards mine. She smiled at me lovingly and then turned her attention towards Mate.
That witch really thought I was in love with her? We'll she was wrong. I needed her to just get my revenge and I would have it soon.
