The night was dark and I held the bag tightly in my hand. I had put on clothes that kept me warm and I came down to the beach. Directly I saw two flash lights shining on the boat and I went that way. I saw Liam and then I saw Zayn. They both lit up when they saw me and I noticed that the boat, which Niall had worked with, was in the water.
"It's okay!" Liam mumbled and smiled at me. "Jump in and sit in the bow of the boat."
I obeyed and placed the bag on the beach. Zayn helped me get in the boat. I sat at the front and then saw how Zayn got in your bag. They both jumped in and Liam sat at the oars. He began to row and I felt the boat drifted into deeper water. I didn't dare to ask anything and I sat quietly in my seat.
"It will take time, but I will bring you to Niall." said Liam and rowed faster with the oars. I nodded and swallowed.
"Is he on the other side of the lake?"
Zayn laughed and gave me a quick glance.
"We're going to take us through a river and when we get to the ocean, you will go with a boat."
"A boat?" I got out of me and stared at Liam's back. "But where's Niall?"
Liam looked quickly at me and then continued to work with the arms.
"Emma, he's in Ireland and I have told him you are going there."
I was flabbergasted.
"But Mom ..."
Zayn snorted lightly and gave me a quick glance.
"Johannah paid her a lot of money to not seek."
I realized that although my mum had lied to me. All just lied, but how sure was I then that Liam was telling the truth?
"So do you have proof?"
Zayn shook his head quickly.
"You must believe in us."
Liam agreed, and I heard he really took to the oars.
"Please Emma, trust us and we don't want you to stay with Louis."
"Why do you help me?"
They were silent. It was as if the truth once again stood still and I had no idea about anything. Eventually cleared Liam his throat easy and gave me a quick glance.
"Let's say you and I are related."
Liam let Zayn take over the oars and then he looked at me again.
"Emma, we're siblings!"
I just sat and stared at him. Liam knew that I wasn't caught on and he laughed a little bit.
"We have the same mother."
The night enveloped us and I heard they were working to get the boat to go foreward. I rocked gently to sleep and I wasn't aware about how far they rowed. When I woke up the sun was going up on the horizon and I saw how the forest slowly got color.
"Where are we?"
It was Liam who rowed.
"Almost there!" he replied short and I popped along to the river that lay before us.
Liam gasped and he took in.
"Emma, I promise you it will be all right. You need not to worry."
Okay! I had been taught that I had to rely on other people. Liam was my brother and I were married to Louis long before I even knew who I was. My life was anything but normal, and everything that I knew, was a lie. I looked at Liam's back and I smiled a little bit. If he lied, it didn't matter. If Liam wasn't lying, I won more than I could dream of.
Slowly slid the boat into the sea and Liam took out a pair of binoculars. He was looking for something and right as it was, he pointed towards one direction. (one direction!) (hahahah) Zayn gasped and he took in. I saw that his arms were tired but he didn't give up. I turned my gaze around and saw far away it was a bigger boat. It looked like a fishing boat and it stood quite still at the sea.
"It will take us to Ireland." Liam mumbled and then smiled at me. "He who owns the boat is an old friend of mine and he delivers what he promises."
A strong man lifted me into the boat. He took the bag and he smiled at Liam.
"It took time?"
Liam jumped into the boat and laughed a little bit.
"We came away later than planned."
The man turned around and looked at me.
"So you are Liam's sister?"
I nodded. It sounded like a lie, but still I trusted that Liam had told me the truth. The man laughed a little bit.
"You look like the same, or maybe not?" He then looked at me from the bottom up. "I understand why Niall wanted you. You are like a small cake."
Liam was talking to the man. Zayn rowed silently back to Louis's estate, and I knew that he wouldn't follow us. I sat in the middle of the boat with my bag and collected myself. I heard laughter and I heard them talking. In the end, the man started the boat and Liam came and sat beside me.
"I know you have a lot to think about, but don't worry about that we are brothers and sisters."
I looked at him and swallowed.
"But you are my brother?"
"Mom told me so many times about how she gave birth to you and how Johannah took you away from her. Mom really missed you, and when she died she was sorry she hadn't made contact with you."
I wanted to cry, but I was too tired to even produce tears.
"Liam, was she nice?"
He nodded and looked dreamily at me.
"You remind me of her." he swallowed. "She was kind and she loved all her children. She got me, two girls and another guy."
"Yes, and you!"
Liam was the brother I never had. It was like I got a new family, a new life and new opportunities. Liam talked at length about my mom and he told me about all the things he remembered. I saw the dream in his eyes and I wished that I had been involved. I saw at Liam that my mom was wonderful and she would always put the kids first. She had played with them, she had cooked good food, and she had made sure they had clothes. She had been a perfect mother.
"And you remind me of her." finished the story and Liam smiled at me with a happy face. "I saw it as soon as you showed up. I knew it was you who was my sister, but I didn't dare tell the truth."
I took his hand and squeezed it hard.
"Thank you for telling me this!"
He smiled and released my hand. Instead, he brought his arm around my shoulders and held me against him.
"I'm just glad that I found you."
I don't know if it was due to Liam, or why. The trip was wonderful and I learned to trust him. Liam told me about his life and he talked about why he worked for Tomlinson.
"Johannah think we owe her money." he whispered. "When you were born, she said that mom would pay for you to go to school."
"But my parents were rich?"
Liam sigh easily.
"Don't you see the big picture? They will do anything to take advantage!"
I looked up at Liam and watched him closely.
"I'm not like that?"
He smiled and met my gaze.
"I know Emma! You are a loving person and you would never cheat a single human being."
"So you trust me?"
Liam smiled and nodded.
"You are my sister and I trust you. I do everything for you. I take you also over the sea because of Niall."
I laughed and hugged him tightly.
He smiled and hugged me back.
"And thanks to you, I found you and I will help you, if you need any help. Thou your my lost sister and I love you."
