The Doctor stumbled about, searching for his sonic screwdriver in the dark.
'Uh, lights on?' He called. The TARDIS switched the lights on- brightly. 'Woah, less lights!' The lights dimmed to a more bearable level.
The Doctor threw on his clothes, as the banging continued. He lifted his hands to fix his bow tie, but it wasn't there.
'Where is it?!'
'Where's what?' River muttered angrily and she tried to find a weapon and somewhere to hide Daisy.
'My bow tie!'
'Why are you worrying about that when there's a strange banging noise coming from nowhere, you idiot?!'
'Sorry, sorry, you're right.'
River hid Daisy in a safe spot, kissing her forehead lightly.
'I love you,' the Doctor and River whispered to their baby.
As they moved out of their bedroom slowly, the Doctor spotted his beloved bow tie. He quickly fiddled with the fabric around his neck, sonic between his teeth, and somehow managed to get it on.
River drew her gun, but the Doctor threw his arm in front of her, shaking his head. He carefully peeped around the corner, checking for any sign of danger.
He gave River a half nod, and she followed him towards the control room.
'Stay close.' The Doctor whispered, slowly climbing the stairs to the controls.
The readings showed bad news.
