I found myself stumbling across a beaten down, poor village. Their houses were wooden shacks, there was no greenery to be found in place. The expression on everyone' s faces looked doubtful, but when we had showed our fully appearance, everyone's sorrowful gaze turned into alarm as they spotted travelers in their village. The children had been hiding behind their mother or fathers leg, placing their tiny hands on them gently. We walked slowly and awkwardly into the center of the village. Everyone looked terrified of us. As if we were something evil.
Some one must've spouted out the new "intriguing" news to the mayor of the village instantly as a skinny, black carriage controlled by for matching color horses made way to our destination. The carriage, was black with a creamy golden color for the decorative swirl patterns engraved on each corner. But as the mayor stepped out of the carriage slowly, he revealed leather boots with a metal, thick spike projecting out of the outline of the ankle. He wore black, denim like jeans, and a dark, violet purple waistcoat that led just underneath his kneecap. He had a golden, necklace dangling down from his chest had been a small watch attached onto it.
His hair, was short, honey blonde curly hair- it had been flat at the top, and perfectly curled thick ringlets that led up the cheekbone. His wide eyes were almost black, and he had creamy pale skin- again, blemish free. His beard was a lighter color than his hair, and it had looked stubbly, as if he hadn't shaved in a few days or so. He flashed a charming grin, revealing one golden tooth- that didn't blend so well with his pure white teeth. He tucked his purple waistcoat, slightly pulling at it.
'I here that the chosen one is here,' He yelled in excitement, his voice sounded posh and British, it was loud- and for somewhat reason he reminded me of a spokesmen.
Adrian fixed his gaze onto the mayor, but I had a sudden feeling that he was also trying to look at me too. I didn't know where to look, so I stared at the mayor who slowly approached me intimidatingly.
'Kara Montez, the immortal, am I correct?' He smiled wickedly at me, pulling out a metal drink container and took a large gulp and sighed in relief. I stared at him- it was more of a glare though. I couldn't figure out which. The mayor grinned wickedly again, and laughed at me.
'Whoa, you have a good glare Kara. Adrian, would you please excuse us while I take her for an important chat?' The mayor winked flirtatiously at me, and turned to face Adrian. I tensed my jaw up instantly, gulping nervously. Adrian reflected my glare back on to the mayor again.
The whole town, gathered up in large circles to see the fascinating event.
'Not without me,' He bitterly replied, clenching his fists tight. The mayor narrowed his eyes down towards his fists, and looked completely stunned.
'Ah, so I see how it is. Well, come along now you two.' The mayor chirped up and clasped his muscular hands together, gesturing the carriage nodding towards it. I stared at Adrian, who looked back up at me- something told me, that he didn't like the feeling of this. I nodded at the mayor anyway, before Adrian could prevent me from going, they mayor placed his broad muscular hand on my back, escorting me to the carriage first. Adrian followed along quickly, as if he wouldn't want to spend another minute in the damp, wet mud.
