Keeping My Distance

Lalvia Monroe is a girl that has been badly bullied by some people at school, she self-harms and cry's her self to sleep every night. She has also, been getting weird dreams and visions by her grandmother that has passed away five years ago. She has been getting warnings by her grandmother that she needs to leave but, when a new man enters her life… she's not so sure she wants to leave.

18. Keenly

I was in a little white room. "Lalvia. Expect the unexpected." My Grandmother appeared from the other side of the room.

    "W-what?" I asked, confused.

I woke up with Conner passed out beside me. I smiled and stretched. I tucked my arm under my pillow and smiled at him.

He looked comfortable. He was laid on his side with a smile on his face.

I heard footsteps and glanced up. Keenly was standing there with a smile. His smile turned into a pout, "I'm not sure if you're safe, Lalvia. Not yet anyway."

"What do you mean? Your dad is not-"

"Yea, I know," he said, cutting me off with pain in his eyes. "But, something could happen to you, Lalvia. Something unexpected."

I glanced at Conner. "I need to find my dad. I don't know where he is," I said.

"We don't have time," Keenly stated. I looked back up at him.

"There's four of us, Keenly. One of us can search for my dad."

He sighed. He glanced up at the ceiling with a thoughtful expression. "What about lover boy?" he asked, nodding at Conner. I looked back down at conner and frowned. "Or, unless… I go and look for your dad." Keenly said politely.

I smiled. "Ok." I moved some of Conners hair out of his face. "Thanks."

"I think I'm going to throw up," he said walking out of the room.

      "Shut up, Keenly!"
