Alice flew in the door after getting home from school, "I'm home!" She tried to acknowledge the fact.
She walked in to see her father passed out drunk. She grunted and stomped upstairs to her room and locked the door behind her.
Her father woke up after hearing the door slam, "Hey Alice." He belched, "How was your day Hun?"
He put his shirt on and basically fell up the stairs. He came to her door, "Alice I can stop whenever I want and you know it."
She didn't want to consider him her father anymore, "I'm sorry Parker but you know you won't you don't care."
"What did you just call me?" He dared her to repeat it.
"I'm not calling you dad anymore." She said determined.
Her dad broke kicked open the door and got in her face and pulled her by the shirt collar, "I am your father whether you like it or not, and you will call me dad whether you like it or not."
His breath smelled of alcohol and pizza, "I will never accept it. Not anymore." She gulped, "Parker."
Her dad put her down and looked at her, "I'm only doing this because I love you."
Alice scooted back with fear in her eyes.
Then her father came up to her and hit her in the face. He hit her. Hard.
After a couple hours Alice worked up the courage to look in the mirror. She walked into her bathroom connected to her room and closed her eyes. She then lifted her head and looked in the mirror. She was taken aback, her face looked horrible, she a long blood stain going from her nose to her lip and her right eye was swollen and purple.
She leaned back against the wall and then slid down it and covered her face with her hands.
"It's my fault. All my fault." She cried.
