10. If I'm Gonna Die Young...
I burst through the doors running from my brother who was currently carrying the gun he shot my own mother and father with. The only idea out of the school was the bench that had so many memories. My feet stuttered as I reached the bench an had no where else to go. Where's Jase? Was the only thing that popped into my mind, I wanted him now more than I've ever wanted anyone. Mason reached me and without hesitation pointed the gun to my heart.
"Mason..." I felt tears start to spill out in pure fear. "Why? Why'd you kill them?"
He too started to cry. "I needed the money. All to myself."
"You mean the extra $100,000 thy left us?" I cried harder understanding nothing except he was confused and scared.
"Yes," he starts, "I'm on drugs and.... I need more!" he screams and I jump in alarm still crying.
"We can get you to rehab and fix you," I try to approach him.
"NO!" he yells and steps back.
"They can help you!" I try to explain and make the wrong movement. The gun had a loud sound and the pain was intense when it hit.
I fell miserably to the ground and he scrambled away. I coughed blood and rolled over screaming and curling into a ball. I touched the wound and blood spit across my fingers and I felt my insides.
I love you Jase. Was my last memory and everything went black.
