Do you understand?

These are poems based on my personal experiences. Some I've lived, some I've witnessed.

4. The Story of the Girl who Loved You.

She was perfect.
Happy and free.
Loved everything about the world, lived carefree.
She watched the world go by enjoying every moment
Because you had her heart and you knew you had stolen it.
I love you, you told her
Marry me, you said.
She really thought you loved her, and would love you til the end.
How could she be so stupid, so ignorant, naive.
To believe the things you said, she was only 13.
But I think all girls do that, believe the things they're told,
They believe the things men tell them, even when they're old.
She was so excited, it it had almost reached 4 months
Until she got that text.
Her heart suddenly sunk.
What did I do wrong?
What's the matter with me?
Aren't I good enough?
I love you!!
These things went through her head as she cried and cried that night on her bed.

Her mother then came in,
Baby what's wrong?
Nothing mommy, headache.
She didn't want to tell anyone what was wrong.
She was supposed to be so strong.
But that didn't work.
She tried to move on.
Met a guy twice as good as him.
Only to find that she still loved, wanted, craved him.
She had been in love.
And now, she had been dumped.
Left for dead.
But she had friends that loved her and helped her through it.
And eventually things got better.
She was happy once again.
Her days now were bright and filled with joy.
But she'll never forget the things that happened, more than once, twice.
With the boy she thought she loved.
