22. Away from the house
Niall and I came into the house. Directly we got to see a patch, which was written to Niall
"She's gone!" it said. "We're out looking for her."
Niall smiled a little bit and then looked at me.
"They think you have escaped."
I was startled and felt how I almost got extra energy. I walked up to the front door and peered out. They had left the gate open and I could just go straight out from my prison. Without a second thought, I ran almost out of the house and Niall followed me.
"No, you can't leave me!" he got out. "Please don't go!"
I stopped and spun around. I saw that he meant every word, but I really didn't want to stay there.
"You know I want to go home." I whispered. Niall came up to me and took my hands in his.
"But if I ask you to stay?"
I shook my head and he looked at me praying. I so wanted to please him, but I didn't want to be left with the other idiots. Niall held my hands tightly and he wouldn't let me go.
"Come with me then?" I got up. He paused and just stared at me.
"I'll run away with you?"
I nodded and got up a smile.
"Yes, why not?"
He hesitated, but right as it was, he smiled a little bit and looked down towards the ground.
"I do it!" he whispered. "I'm actually for once must listen to myself."
Niall had his own car. We saw that there wasn't much petrol in it, but Niall ran after his wallet and then we drove out from the yard. I watched as we left the house deserted and actually felt like a new start.
"So home or where?" Niall got out of it. I let my eyes land on him and I smiled.
"Where you want, but I want to go home to my parents first."
He nodded with satisfaction and gave me a quick glance.
It felt good to get far away from the house. I looked at the scenery outside the car and I saw the sun slowly began to rise over the horizon. Niall drove the car quiet and he looked dreamily out in front of the car. It was as if we didn't have to say more, and actually, it was thanks to him that I came from the other. In a way Niall was my saviour.
We reached a small village, when a light started to shine on the dashboard.
"Gasoline ..." mumbled Niall and gave me a quick glance. "If you see a gas station, let me know."
I nodded and swallowed. I only saw a small supermarket and there they didn't have gasoline. Eventually, stopped the car and Niall had to stop it. He sighed and looked anxiously at me.
"One, I can leave you here and go after gasoline. Two, we both can go and get petrol, but chances are that the others happen to see us."
I smiled at him and felt that I was tired.
"You can go!" I whispered soothing. "I can stay here and sleep for a while. I don't think they are looking in this area anyway."
Niall didn't seem to like the plan.
"But if they happen to drive by? They recognize my car."
I still felt safe.
"Go and get gasoline now. I don't think the others will find us."
Niall nodded and opened the car door. I saw how he jumped out and he closed the door behind him. He began to walk along the road, we came from and I followed him with my eyes until I couldn't see him.
I chose to close my eyes. I closed my eyes and I felt myself slowly fell asleep. The last thing I felt was hope. I knew it would work out. Niall would take me home again and he would make sure that I felt safe.
