"Are you coming to the party?" Zach asked. I shrugged.
My original plan was to go, I bought the dress and everything but now I don't know. With everything that has happened, I'm not sure if I would be able to handle it. I mean, I flinched when Jason simply touched my arm.
"Are you scared?" he asked sincerely. I shrugged.
"Kind of," my phone said. "I don't know how I would be able to deal with it, or if I could. I flinched when Jason touched me." The robotic voice was horrible.
'I promise I'll stay by your side the entire time if you come? Or Harry, Jase and I could take turns?" Zach offered.
We both sitting on my bed in the dorm room. I finally nodded my head. Why not?
"Do you wanna see my dress?" the phone asked.
"Yeah, sure," he said with a smile. I jumped from the bed and grabbed it from the cupboard, it was still in the bag. I pulled it out and showed him. "Go put it on silly, I wanna see it properly."
I rolled my eyes and walked into the bathroom with it. It took a while to get undressed and re-dressed but I eventually walked out to show Zach. He was sitting on my bed, reading my Vampire Academy book, just as Harry had been. Apparently the book was quite interesting to the men at this facility. I walked up to him and he looked up at me. I pointed to the book and shook my head. I grabbed the book and laid it on the bedside table. I did a quick little spin
"That looks great on you!" Zach said. "But do you think those shoes are right?"
I held up one finger then ran to the cupboard pulling out a black crop blazer, putting over the top. I walked back and pointed to the blazer then the shoes.
"Okay. You got me. That does look good. Good job Z," he said smiling at me.
I smiled and clapped my hands together. I checked the time and it was three in the afternoon.
'Do you wanna get something to eat?' Zach read my phone and nodded.
The party is in an hour and I'm still not ready! I was in the shower for much too long by accident and doing my hair is taking ages. I was putting waves in it. I still haven't gotten dressed and my make up isn't done. Harry isn't home yet either.
Eventually after finishing my hair I went onto do my make up. I didn't feel like I had enough time for a full face so I just spent time on my eyes. I did a kind of silver to light black smokey eye with black gel liner. I tight lined and lined my water line in black and put multiple coats of different mascaras until my eyelashes were long and voluminous.
Last but not least, I got dressed. There was half an hour till I was supposed to leave and Harry still wasn't back. I double checked that the door was locked and then got dressed in the main room. I left my shoes and jacket off and fell back onto my bed. Reaching for my phone to text Harry or Jase, I heard the door rattle.
"Fuck," I heard before there was a knock at the door. "Zalia? You in there? I left my key here," Harry said. I got off the bed and opened the door. "Hey," he said awkwardly, scratching the back of his head.
I moved out of the doorway and Harry walked into the room. He walked straight to the wardrobe before pulling off his shirt, I couldn't help but stare. There were large scars on his shoulder that shocked me. Harry strached his arms above his head and I couldn't help but watch his muscles move. All too quickly though, he slid a shirt on over his head. He turned to look at me.
"TADAH!" He said, laughing at himself. "You look pretty Z. Ready to go?" he asked.
I held up one finger and ran over to put on my blazer and my shoes. I quickly oulled on a silver ring and silver bracelets and fastened my heart necklace around my neck. I pointed to the door and Harry rolled his eyes.
"Come on then."
The ride was fairly long compared to the others we usually took. We were in the car for around twenty minutes. Harry helped me out of the car and walked me in to the party.
"Jase said he would meet us in the kitchen!" Harry yelled over the blaring music. I just nodded and held his arm as he pulled me through the crowds of people.
I could lie right now and say that seeing this many intoxicated males didn't freak me out at all but it in fact did and I found myself clinging to Harry, closer than I almost thought humanly possible. Eventually getting to the kitchen someone was mixing drinks.
"Want one?" Harry asked me and I nodded. Maybe alcohol would take the edge off the queasy feeling in my gut and feeling as though there was a thick layer of grunge on my skin.
Harry asked the mixer to make only one drink and handed it to me. I smiled and grabbed it taking a large mouthful. It was sweet and actually quite nice. I had finished my first cup before Jase even got there. Harry looked disapproving as I started drinking down a second cup. When Jase showed up I jumped off the counter, where I had chosen to reside my butt, and hugged Jason.
"Well, well, well, I see someone is feeling better," he commented with a smile. I just wiggled my eyes at him. "How many of those have you had?" he asked as I finished off the second cup. I held up two fingers. "I think that's enough for now, Z."
Jason lent over and said something to Harry then grabbed my hand and led me back out to the living room where nost of the people dancing were crowded as it was where the main sound system was based. We pushed our way through the crowd till we got somewhere towards the middle and Jase started dancing. I laughed at him before I joined in.
We must've danced for at least an hour, I was tired as hell and I felt as though another drink was needed, even though I wasn't nervous anymore. I walked into the kitchen and tapped Harry on thw shoulder, he was talking to a guy who looked a few years older than me. Harry turned to look at me. I pushed a cup towards him and his look said no so I batted my eyelashes, dipping my head to the right a little. I heard Harry sigh as he grabbed the cup and made me a drink.
"This is your last one for at least an hour and a half, okay?" I nodded. "Why don't ya go dance with Zach? He's been waiting all night," Harry said with a wink, nodding his head in Zach's direction.
Zach was leaning against the counter with a beer in his hand. I chugged down my drink before I basically skipped to him.
"Hey," he said with a smile, catching me when I tripped on my own foot. "Having fun?" I nodded. "You look beautiful by the way, Zalia."
I felt my cheeks heat and I looked at the ground. I counted mentally to five before I looked up into his bright green eyes. Without thinking I lent forward and kissed him.
