Rider's P.O.V, July 2
I came back to see Lacey after my sudden storm out of the room. I can't help myself, but looking at her reminds me of my sister, and myself being a fool to name Lacey after my sister also named Lacey. I come to the door and see Lawrence standing there, my jaw falls to the floor, and I become enraged. I have never liked Joseph Lawrence; once a respectable man, always never to be messed with. He killed my sister, no, I killed her; but at his mercy.
I loved my sister she was my world, while I also cared for her as our parents had died. Me killing them as well, I was born a ware wolf like all others, but not of ware wolves, I was born of humans; which is very difficult due to a young child being entrusted with rage. I did perfectly fine, until Joseph Lawrence came to my house; like he does to all people, he draws them in, makes them think he is a good man, and he was respected for such a cunning characteristic. I of course falling for such a trick and becoming manipulated by him I killed my parents. I thought that was all he wanted was for me kill them, like he had some unfinished business that he didn't want to deal with, but again I was mislead; I was to be his mutt, a controlled pet. My parents died, because of Lawrence's need to have control over me, and I never wanted to do such a thing again, so I let him control me, I became his pet, I was under safety, away from killing and hurting others. When really it was in front of me the entire time, my sister of course having no where else to go stayed with me, but Lawrence created an affection for my sister and she became deceived. He turned her into something she wasn't told her, she loved him; and believed every word, I, myself confronted her and told her that all of this nonsense was to stop. Yet she was only convinced that I was ruining her happiness, and in the end I had been under his manipulation the entire time, only with his end goal of my sister dying, because I believe she would be happier dead than with Lawrence.
Which brings me back to Lacey, who had earlier in the week about the 30th of June been payed a visit from Lawrence, his plan of her manipulation was to begin. Which had actually started the day she came to her senses, and awoke. Being Lawrence's dog also in this case has some positives, I was entrusted with the watching of Lacey while she slept, I had studied her up and down from the day she first arrived. She was a mere limp body when I first saw her, and thats all she was only to breathe while sleeping. Always looking at peace, she reminded me of my sister, and I hoped that she was that happy and forgiving. And the one day that Lacey would awake I was to over see her conscious enter another body, which was not located in her room. When I saw her standing there other than be filled with joy and wanting to hug what looked like my sister, I had come to hate her. It wasn't the hope of seeing my sister again, it was the reminder going through my head, 'you killed her... what kind of family does that? and to there own sister, you killed your sister...' and it would linger in my brain.
Earlier in the week I had been visited by Lawrence, that was all I told Rider; that was all Rider wanted to hear. Yet when he came to visit me, he walked in confident and came over to me. He set his eyes on mine, faces close nearly touching. I looked back at him, I felt like crying on the inside, but I revealed no emotion to Lawrence. My hair was always accented into a side ponytail over my right shoulder; Lawrence played with it some, ran his fingers through my hair and twirled it a bit. It was disturbing and creepy, but what I noticed was his hand. He had never turned into his human form, always in his wolf state, but as his hand went through my hair he made only it appear human.
Lawrence takes his hand away from my hair and looks back into my eyes, this time I had no fear he had as much weakness as anyone else, he could be human. I looked into his eyes as he did mine, I stared into his soul, I had curiosity, I wanted to know what he had in his head I specifically looked for weakness. For a split second I caught a glimpse of a boy's face he had dark brown almost black hair and light blue eyes, so blue they were glowing white; but I saw black wings merge out of his back. Which was quite peculiar, Rider had mentioned that dark angels and ware wolves have been sworn enemies since the 'border split' (I don't know what that is). Lawrence pulls away in that small second, and he knew I saw it, I bare a small smile at him and bring my index finger to my face hushing him, and Joseph Lawrence leaves in disgust.
So when Lawrence had come to my room, I figured he would be a little skittish, like a dog with his tail between his legs. Yet he came in the room, standing tall like nothing had happened. I rose unexpectedly " Joseph Lawrence what an unexpected surprise," I look at him with a raised eye brow, Lawrence's face showed that his tail was indeed between his legs, but he stood strong.
"Yes well, we have been invited as guests to a gala in a near by town, and we have no right to refuse. So the five of us will be attending." he explained
"Who are these five?" I asked as though I was at a higher place than Lawrence, and I was glad he let me treat him like such dirt.
"You, myself, Mersa, Neil, and Rider," he said turning to Rider at the mention of his name, "Please dress nicely,"
"There is no question about it," I said finally as Lawrence walked past Rider to leave, and Rider entered the room.
Lawrence turned to face me as he exited the door, " July 4th, 6:00pm "
