Broken Glass

1. Beiginning

Today is the day that our projects about what we wish in the world are due and I am very nervous about what's going to happen. "Hallow Brooke, your turn," the teacher said. I sighed and stood up with the glass cup and walked onto the stage. "Willow, I need you to come up here with me," I said to the schools bully. She rolled her eyes and mouthed the words loser. I handed the glass to her. "Take this glass and smash it on the floor," I said. "What?" She asked. "Drop it on the floor!" I said. She dropped it on the ground. It shattered into pieces and everyone just stared like I was crazy and now I had everyone's attention. "Is it broken?" I asked. "Yes," she replied. "Now say sorry to it," I said. She was very confused and I glared at her. "Sorry," she said to it. "Is it fixed now?" I asked her. "Of course not," she replied. "So sorry wasn't good enough?" I questioned. "Uh, no," she said obviously. "What about glue, can you fix it by gluing it back together?" I asked. "Yeah," she answered. "But will you be able to still see the cracks?" I asked. "Yes," she replied. "Can it hold any water? Can it fur fill it's purpose?" I asked. "No," she replied. Everyone still thought I was insane. "Why not?" I asked. "Because it's broken," she said. "Because YOU broke it," I corrected her. "And it will be broken forever," I said. "Oh," she replied. "If you walk away will it still be broken?" I asked. "Yeah," she replied. "So you can't fix it by saying sorry," I said. "No," she answered. Everyone's jaw dropped and were quiet staring up at the stage. "Can you make it the way it was before?" I asked her. "No," she replied. "Now do you understand?" I asked. "I broke the glass, I can't fix it by saying sorry, I can glue it back together, but it will never be the same," she replied. I grabbed another glass and threw it onto the flor causing her to jump back. "You broke me, and everyone else who is like me," I said. "But-" she began but was interrupted by me, "I will never be the same. I can't fulfill my purpose. I will never be able to hold trust because you broke MY GLASS!" I said smashing another one down. "YOU CAN'T FIX ME!" I yelled and took off my jacket showing everyone my cuts. "I STOPPED LOOKING FOR MONSTERS UNDER MY BED WHEN I REALISED THE MONSTER WAS INSIDE OF ME! SUICIDAL TEENAGERS ARE JUST ANGELS THAT WANT TO RETURN HOME! AND I CAN'T!" I yelled and ran off the stage.
