"That was great, wasn't it?" Liam spoke up after the movie finished.
"Other than making me cry, it was amazing." I said. Liam wiped the leftover tears from my cheeks. I looked into his eyes. He looked back. I looked away. "I should be getting back home. My parents said I need to be home tonight."
"Okay. Is it okay if I text you later?" It was already 10 P.M.
"Yeah, I'm awake half the night anyways. I guess I've adapted to little sleep in college."
"The boys and I usually get maybe 4 hours of sleep each night."
"I'll text you later okay? Bye Liam. Tell the boys bye for me please?"
"Yeah, I will. Bye Jamie." I walked out the door and walked into the elevator. When I reached the lobby, I went through the doors and into the car. I searched my purse for my keys but couldn't find them anywhere. I realized I left them Liam's hotel room. I went back inside and waited for the elevator doors to open. When they did, Liam was standing there with my keys in his hand. "You left your keys."
"Thanks, I was just going up to get them." I smiled. We waved goodbye and I headed back home. When I got back to my parents, they were arguing again. What is wrong with them? I slammed the door behind me. My parents stopped arguing and looked at me.
"You do not slam doors in my house young lady." said my father, sternly.
"Why are you arguing again?!" I said, frustrated. They've been yelling and screaming at eachother ever since I've started middle school. I didn't want to go to school because of bullying and I didn't want to go home because of my parents fighting.
"That's not your concern." said my mom. I could tell she was trying to stay calm.
"Go to your room." demanded my dad.
"No, I'm not going anywhere until I know why you're fighting." I said, raising my voice.
"Don't you dare raise your voice at me." my dad started.
"I want to know!" I screamed. Then my dad did something unthinkable. He went up to me and slapped me across the face. I yelped in pain and fell to the ground.
"Walter!" yelled my mom. She quickly ran to me to comfort me. My dad ran into the bedroom and came back with his gun. "What are you doing?!" screamed my mom. I looked up to see the gun pointed at my mom.
"If you move, you're both dead." my dad said. He was crying. Then I noticed an empty bottle of Vodka on the table. He's been drinking. That's why my mom was arguing with him. That's why he's acting like this.
"Dad, just put the gun down. We can talk about this." I tried to calm him down. Before I could blink an eye, a heard a gunshot. My mom collapsed next to me. "NO!!!" I screamed with tears pouring out of my eyes. "WHY WOULD YOU KILL YOUR OWN WIFE! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED HER! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME!" My dad pointed the gun at me. I closed my eyes. I wanted to die. I didn't want to be in a world with my father. Instead of shooting me, he turned the gun and shot himself. I flinched at the loud sound of the gunshot. I instantly heard sirens surrounding the house. I just sat there crying. My parents are dead.
