I backed into a wall while I was stepping back from my father. “No! Get away from me!” I screamed. He kept creeping closer and closer. “I don't want to die anymore! I'm happy again!” He didn't listen. He raised a knife and brought it down.
I woke up breathing hard and with a tear stained face. Liam was sitting at the foot of my bed with a surprised face. "Sorry if I woke you. I uh, kinda had a nightmare."
"It's okay love. No need to say sorry. You were screaming 'no' in your sleep. Are you okay?" Liam comforted me.
"Yeah. It was just a dream. I'm fine."
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really." I flashed back to the dream and closed my eyes, fighting to push away the thoughts. Liam got up and cooed a sleepy goodnight as he walked out the door. I laid back down but couldn't sleep. Honestly, I didn't want to sleep. I guess I was scared to dream again. All I did was lay there, looking at the ceiling. I finally gave up on sleeping and looked at my phone seeing that it was 5 A.M. I got up and went into the kitchen to make some tea. I liked coffee in the mornings but couldn't find any so settled for tea. Tea has always been my favorite anyways. The kettle made a whistling sound signaling that it was boiling. I poured the hot water in a tea cup and added the tea bag. As I waited for it to cool, Liam trudged into the kitchen. "Hello." I smiled when I saw him. He looked so cute with his messy hair. "Want some tea?" I offered. "Sorry I used your stuff without asking. I couldn't go back to sleep."
"It's fine. Use whatever you please." He walked over to a cup-board and grabbed a tea cup. I poured him some water while he dipped the tea bag in. We walked over to the porch to watch the sun come up. It was absolutely beautiful. All of the colors swirling in the sky, it made me forget everything bad that happened. Liam and I finished up our tea and started getting ready for the day. I took a shower and changed . While I was putting on my makeup, my phone buzzed. Alli was calling me. I forgot to call her yesterday! I guess when I got here, I was just caught up in the moment. As soon as I answered, Alli started speaking.
"Why didn't you call or text me? I was so worried!"
"I'm sorry, I was kinda busy hanging out with the boys."
"I thought you were in some kinda plane crash or something! Don't scare me like that again!" I assured her that I was fine and that I had to go. We hung up and I finished doing my hair and makeup. I set my purse on the couch and put my shoes by the door. As I walked to the kitchen, I was engulfed by the smell of eggs, bacon, and toast with butter.
"You made breakfast!" I said as I grabbed my plate and sat down.
"A good host should prepare meals for his guests." replied Liam.
"I could of helped." I said while biting a piece of my bacon. It was absolutely delicious. Liam and I finished and I begged him to help with the dishes since he made the wonderful breakfast. When we were done, Liam told me to get my shoes on.
"Where are we going?" I wondered.
"It's a secret." Liam said, bringing back memories of our first date. I slipped on my shoes and grabbed my purse from the couch. Liam intertwined his hand with mine as we walked out the door. I smiled as I looked at our hands. Liam led me to his car. After about 15 minutes of driving, we finally arrived at the London Eye. The view from the top was incredible. I could see everything. "Isn't it beautiful?" Liam said, breaking the silence.
"It's amazing." I said, almost in a whisper. "It's mind blowing." We stayed in silence for the rest of the time. The ride back home was also silent. I guess we just didn't have any words. When we got home, it was already pretty late. We stayed at the London Eye the whole day. I was surprised nobody noticed Liam. "I'm gonna wash up and go to bed." I said as I walked in the door.
"Okay. I'll get some sleep too." Liam said as he walked to his room. I changed my clothes and took my makeup off. I brushed out my hair and climbed under the covers of my bed. Soon, I drifted off to sleep.
“Did you miss me?” snickered my father with a villainous smile. “I said stay away from me.” I cried out. I looked away with tears in my eyes. “Look at me!” my father yelled. I turned around to see Liam hanging from the ceiling with a rope tied around his neck. “NO!” I screamed as I ran towards Liam but as a passed my father, he stabbed me in the stomach. I looked down to see blood. I looked back up at my father with a wicked smile.
I woke up again to see Liam at the foot of my bed. I wiped the tears away from my eyes and looked away.
"Are you okay love? You were shouting me name." Liam said, worried.
"I-I was? I'm sorry."
"It's okay. Did you have a bad dream again?"
"Yeah..." my voice trailed off.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Their was a silence before I started.
"My father, he killed you. Then me." Liam took me in his arms.
"Jamie, don't worry. He's not going to get me or you." I didn't move. I knew he was right and I felt safe in his arms. He finally pulled away and started walking out the door.
"Liam?" I called out.
"Yes love?" Liam cooed, looking back.
"Can you stay with me? Please?"
"Of course." Liam climbed under the covers and cuddled next to me, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Goodnight love."
"Goodnight Liam." and I drifted to sleep.
