7. I'm Here For You
I woke up to the sound of the pilot. "We're landing in 10 minutes. Please put on your seat belts and turn off your electronics at this time." I looked at my phone. Oh right, it was off. I slept through the whole flight? I really needed it after only getting a couple hours of sleep each night at Alli's. I stretched in my seat. I can't believe I'm gonna be in London. This is going to be great! Better yet, I get to see Liam. I missed him and his smile. We've only hung out with eachother for 2 days and it feels like we've known eachother forever. I miss his voice. I feel so safe with him. The plane hit the ground safely. I looked out the window to see sunshine. I haven't seen that in a while. At home, it's just clouds and rain. The time when Fall changes into Winter is always the worst. The plane stopped and I got up to get my suit case. I turned my phone on and texted Liam.
Me: I'm getting off of the plane :)
Liam: That's great! Tell the taxi driver to go to 260 Camberwell Grove.
Me: Okay :) I'll see you in a bit.
Liam: Bye love. I'll see you in a bit too :)
I locked my phone and waved for a cab. It was warm in London. Good thing I checked the weather here before I packed or I would of packed winter clothes! I got in a taxi and told the driver where to go. The driver started driving and I just noticed something. I don't have any pounds! All I have is money from America. I quickly texted Liam, not knowing what to do.
Me: I don't have any pounds. I only have American currency.
Liam: No worries, I'll pay the driver when you get here.
Me: Oh thank you! I already got into the taxi and I didn't know what to do.
Liam: I've got it covered. I'll see you in a few.
I finally got to Liam's house. It was not too small and not too big, just perfect for about 1 or 2 people. I loved houses like that. They're cozy. I saw Liam sitting on the steps leading up to the porch. He was sipping tea and when he saw the taxi pull up, he quickly got up and paid the driver. I got out and instantly was hugged by Liam. I smiled and hugged him back. "Hi Liam."
"Hi love." Liam said, still hugging me.
"I guess you missed me." I joked.
"I bet you missed me too." Liam joked back. We finally pulled away from the hug. Liam led me inside his house, stopping to get his tea before we went inside. He showed me to a guest room and I put my suit case on the bed. "You want a tour?"
"Okay!" Liam brought me to the living room and the kitchen. He showed me where the bathrooms were and finished with showing me his bedroom. "Wow, you have a really cool bedroom."
"Thanks." Liam replied while sitting on his bed. I walked around his room, looking at the things on his desk and shelves. Then I saw an electric piano in the corner. I glided my fingers on top of the keys. I haven't touched a piano in so long. "Uh, yeah. I kinda play a little." Liam spoke up. I went and sat next to him.
"You have a really nice home." I said.
"Thanks. I try. Niall actually has a flat on this street along with Louis. Zayn and Harry live on the next street. Do you want to see them?"
"Sounds great!" We went to Louis flat to see the rest of the boys already there.
"Jamie!" they all said at once. Louis came up to me and gave me a hug first then Harry, Niall, and Zayn
"We missed you." Harry said.
"I can tell." I giggled while they laughed.
"We should all do something today." said Niall, eating a chip.
"How about we go to the beach?" said Liam.
"I don't have a swimming suit though." I replied.
"That's okay, we can buy you one."
"No no, I can't ask you to do that."
"You didn't ask, I offered." Liam gave me a grin. We walked back to Liam's and got into his car. We drove to a mall and went to the nearest shop that sold swimming suits. I picked a one piece and tried it on. It wasn't bad but, it made me look old. I hate wearing two piece bathing suits because I'm insecure about my body. I've always complained about how fat and chubby I am but everybody else says I look like a stick. Liam knocked on the dressing room door. I opened it to see him holding 2 different two piece suits. "Try these on. I think they'll suit you better"
"I don't think so." I replied looking away. "I wont look good."
"You'll look beautiful as always." I gave in and grabbed the suits. I slipped one on and looked in the mirror. It actually didn't look half bad. I loved the pattern and color. I tried on the second and it was even better. 'Liam has a good eye for fashion' I thought to myself then laughed. Liam came back knocking. "Can I see?" I hesitated but opened the door a crack. "I love it! It's cute on you."
"Thanks." I blushed. I closed the door again and changed into my clothes. I was still wearing my sweatpants and t-shirt. Since it was pretty warm outside, I took my sweater off. I came out of the dressing room to find Liam on the phone.
"Stop calling me. Don't talk to me again Jessie." said Liam with a stern voice. Then he hung up. I walked up to him and put my hand on his shoulder, startling him a little.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." I said with my head down.
"It's fine. I didn't see or hear you. Did you pick out what swim suit you wanted?"
"Uhm, yeah." I held up the 2nd one Liam picked out.
"Great." Liam smiled. "Let's pay." He payed for the swim suit and we left the store to go back to Liam's. I decided not to bring up what I heard. It's his business and I didn't want to get involved. When we got back, Liam found a beach bag and we put all the essentials in it. Towels, sun screen, and some snacks. I went to the bathroom and changed into my new bathing suit. I pulled on a pair of shorts and threw my hair into a messy bun. I came out to see Liam in his swimming trunks and a tank top. Should I of put a shirt over my bathing suit? "You look great!" Liam said before I could do anything.
"Thanks." I smiled and grabbed my sun glasses. Niall, Louis, Harry, and Zayn were all driving in the same car while Liam drove me in his car. We finally got to the beach and it was gorgeous. The sun was shinning and the water was glistening. The boys instantly took off their tops and ran into the water. Liam came up behind me and picked me up bridal style. He carried me over to the water where it was mid-chest deep. Liam set me down and since I'm not as tall as him, the water rose up to my shoulders. He took hold of my hand and walked me out further. I've never told anybody but Alli that I couldn't swim. We got out a little deeper making the water rise up to my neck. "Liam, I'm not going that deep."
"Why not?" Liam continued pulling me deeper and deeper.
"Liam!" I soon couldn't feel the bottom of the ocean anymore. Liam saw that I was frantically trying to find ground and figured out I couldn't swim. He brought me close to him and kept me afloat. I wrapped my hands around his neck for support and he put my legs around his waist.
"Why didn't you just tell me you couldn't swim?"
"It's embarrassing." I hid my face from him.
"Lots of people don't know how to swim. It's okay to tell people."
"I've just never met someone who couldn't swim."
"Trust me, their are plenty of people that are scared even to go in water at waist deep." I chuckled and Liam gave me a smile. "I'm here for you."
