"Where are we headed to?" I held Liam's hand while he drove.
"It's a surprise," he grinned and I playfully rolled my eyes.
"Tell me just this once?" I begged.
"Please?" I gave him puppy dog eyes.
"That's not gonna work," Liam chuckled.
"Fine," I sat straight in my seat knowing Liam wont spill. A few minutes later, we pulled up into a park.
"A walk in the park?"
"No, a walk in the park with me," Liam got out of the car and opened the passenger door for me. I smiled and got out of Liam's car.
"I can't believe it's New Year's Eve already," I said, snuggling into Liam's side.
"Another year has passed so quickly," I could see the steam come of Liam's mouth.
"Time passes by faster and faster. I don't want it to,"
"That means I'm gonna get older and life is gonna flash before my eyes. I don't think I'm gonna be able to keep up,"
"You're gonna get married, have kids, raise them, you're gonna have a great future,"
"I sure hope so,"
"You're gonna have a great future with me," Liam smiled and kissed my red nose.
"I hope for that too," I kissed him on the lips. "So, are we gonna walk around all day?"
"Just wait, there's a surprise at 7,"
"It's already 6:30," I looked at my phone.
"Well let's get going then," Liam lead me to a bench in front of an empty field.
"What are we doing here?"
"You'll see," Liam wrapped his arm around my shoulders and I snuggled into his chest, trying to stay warm. A few minutes later, the first firework shot up into the sky. I gazed up and awe as sparks flew everywhere, lighting up the night sky.
"That's beautiful," I sighed, still looking up.
"Just like you," I looked at Liam as he smiled at me and I gave him a quick peck on the lips. I brought my attention back to the sky. Many more fireworks exploded in different colors and shapes. I've always loved fireworks. They're all so beautiful. A series of fireworks went off meaning the end was near. The last firework shot up into the sky and spelled out 'I Love You'. I looked at Liam and he gave me a grin. "I love you, Jamie,"
"I love you too,"
