It was about 8:30 when Liam and I finally got back to his place. I went to take a shower and change into my pajamas. When I got out of my bedroom, I found Liam sitting on the couch watching T.V. He patted the seat next to him. I sat down thinking we were gonna watch T.V. but he suddenly turned it off. He looked at me like he was waiting for something.
"What?" I asked confused.
"So are you gonna tell me what happened over the month?" I stared at him and broke down crying. I've had the best day ever and now it's ruined. "I'm sorry love, I didn't mean to make you cry." Liam scooted closer to me and brought me in a hug. I just sat there crying. After a good 20 minutes, I finally settled down. I wiped the tears off my cheeks. "You don't need to tell me if you don't want to."
"No, I want to." I started with the night my parents died. I struggled with every word that came out of my mouth. The urge to cry was too strong and tears were falling into my lap with every sentence. Liam looked at me with sympathy when I finished and brought me into another hug. "Can I know something now?"
"What do you mean?" Liam said, furrowing his eyebrows.
"I heard you on the phone earlier at the place you bought my swimming suit at."
"You heard that?"
"Yeah, kinda. Who's Jessie?" Liam looked away. Before I could say anything else he broke the silence.
"She's an ex girlfriend."
"What happened between you two?"
"She uh, cheated on me."
"I'm so sorry."
"It's fine. I'm over it."
"Are you sure? It seems like you're still a little bothered with it."
"I'm sure." He switched the T.V. back on and put in a movie. During the movie, I found myself getting closer and closer to him up until I was cuddled next to him with his arm around me. Slowly, I drifted off to sleep.
