61. Bad Dreams
"She said yes," Liam said into the phone. "Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Bye."
"I still can't believe I said yes," I jumped up and down on the bed being careful not to hit my head on the ceiling.
"Me neither," Liam climbed onto the bed and jumped with me. Since he was taller than me, he took baby jumps so he wouldn't hurt himself with the ceiling.
"What should I sing?"
"Well, let's just start with the songs you like best."
"I have so many!" I whined.
"What's you're most favorite then?"
"Should I sing a slow or fast song?"
"We already sang 'Say Something' which is a slow song. So what about a fast one this time?"
"Okay, what song?"
"This time you pick," Liam smiled. I stopped jumping since I was out of breath and thought. Liam followed me to the couch. I seriously couldn't decide what I wanted to sing. Their were so many choices.
"How about 'Saturday'?" I suggested. It wasn't a very well known song and I didn't know what else to choose. Plus, it's catchy.
"What's 'Saturday'?" Liam asked, confused.
"You've never heard that song before?" I got up off the couch. Liam shook his head no. "Do you remember that song 'Friday'?"
"That song was horrid! I feel bad for that girl. Rebecca Black right?"
"Well she made a song called 'Saturday' with a YouTuber called Dave Days."
"Let's hear it." we went to the computer that was here in the hotel room and searched for YouTube. After the screen fully loaded, Liam typed in 'Saturday' and clicked on play. The 3 minute video was over and Liam gave a round of applause. "What an improvement from 'Friday'!"
"I know right?!"
"You want to perform this song?"
"I don't know, should I?"
"It's a great song! You should!"
"You'll sing with me, right?"
"Yes, love." Liam pulled me in for a kiss. I accepted and I sat on his lap, my face facing his, lips moving in sync. "Rehearse? I still need to learn the lyrics!"
"Okey dokey." I got off his lap and Liam called the management to tell them they needed a copy of this song without the lyrics for the three concerts. After he hung up with the call, we got to working.
"I think I've got it!" Liam said with excitement after hours of rehearsing. It was 4 A.M.
"And I think we need some sleep. I won't be able to sing later if I keep this up!"
"I'm tired too." Liam yawned and stretched his arms. I grabbed some pajamas out of my suitcase and changed in the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, washed off my makeup, and climbed into bed feeling comfortable already. Liam crawled in shortly after, making me feel 10 times more comfortable. He wrapped his arms around me and I fell asleep almost instantly.
"Please give a big welcome to my lovely girlfriend, Jamie!" Liam shouted to the crowd. The swarm of screaming girls screamed in excitement, holding up signs saying Liam and I are perfect for each other. I smiled at the sight and walked over to Liam. "Thank you all for having me." I smiled and the crowd roared even more. The music started playing and I prepared for the big moment. When it was time for me to sing the words, I couldn't find them. I opened up my mouth and tried singing but nothing came out. I tried again and again, nothing happened. The crowd started booing. Things were being thrown up on stage. I started screaming, crying. Liam wasn't helping me. He was laughing. He was pointing at me, laughing. "NO! STOP!" I yelled as loudly as I could. Nothing changed. It only got worse. The rest of the boys joined in, laughing and pointing at me. They were all closing up on me. I ran off of the stage to come face to face with everybody laughing backstage. Alli, Lou, the staff, even baby Lux was laughing at me. I was humiliated.
"Jamie. Jamie, wake up." I felt Liam shake me. I opened my eyes quickly and jerked away from Liam's touch. "Love, it's just me," Liam had a worried tone. I stared at him wide eyed for a couple of seconds before dropping to the floor in tears. "It's gonna be okay," Liam rushed over to me and held me in his arms, cradling me. "You were screaming 'no' in you're sleep."
"Y-you were l-laughing at me," I struggled to say.
"I couldn't sing and all you did was laugh at me," I tried calming down.
"Shh, baby, it was just a dream."
"It all seemed so real."
"I'll never laugh at you."
"How can I know?"
"Because you trust me and I promise I'll never hurt you like that. I will never hurt you in any way."
"Okay," I finally had no more tears. I knew it was all just a dream.
"How about we get ready for the day and get some breakfast?" Liam suggested, pecking me on the lips. I nodded. Liam helped me up and I took a deep breath. I'm done with these bad dreams.
