Soon some young kid came around. He was probably my age, there weren’t a lot of people my age in here, but he was here and he looked fine. He came up and offered me a dance and I thanked yes and walked out to the dance floor with him even though my eyes never left Niall.
“What’s your name?”
“Diana, what’s yours?”
“Lovely to meet you Sebastian.”
“That guy up there, is he your boyfriend?”
“No just a close friend of mine.”
“I’ve seen you here before.”
“Why are you around all the celebrities?”
“Because it’s part of whom I am and part of the job I’ve given myself.”
“What’s your job?”
“You’re a nosy one aren’t you?”
He winked at me and started dancing closer to me and made me feel uncomfortable. I rolled my eyes at him. When he slapped my ass I felt annoyed and pushed him away from me.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
“C’mon babe, it’s fun.”
“You think touching my ass is fun? Fuck you.”
I pushed him in the chest and soon I felt a hand on my arm pulling me away. I turned around to see Niall standing there and taking me with him back to the seats we were at.
“What was that all about?”
He took my hand and tried to calm me down.
“I’m just tired of people touching my body as soon as I say yes to a dance. I’m not some toy you guys can just play around with. I am a human and I want people to respect that.”
“Just ignore that guy, he’s a jerk.”
“And what proof do I have you aren’t one as well?”
I took my hand away from his and stared at him cold. He was out of words to answer my question.
“I thought so, excuse me.”
I took my small purse and went upstairs and outside where I lit up a cigarette in front of the bank. I was standing with a few other people there as well but neither of them spoke to me. I wasn’t exactly in the mood to speak with strangers right now.
My one common friend with Liam stood beside me. He was the one who introduced me to Liam in the first place and kinda the one who started this journey for me to a point where I had no connection to the earth anymore.
“So easy to tell?”
“You haven’t even noticed I’ve been here the whole time.”
“I’m sorry Andy. It’s a crazy time.”
“Don’t worry about it.”
He smiled at me and swung an arm around me for comfort and support.
“Where’ve you been for the past couple of months? No one’s been able to contact you.”
“I know, I just needed some time away so I went home to Sweden for a while.”
“Oh… how long are you planning on staying in London?”
“Depends on how much will go on. But probably a week or two, then I’ll have to go back again.”
“Why do you need to go back all the time? You have so much money to stay here for, get your own place, and a job?”
“It’s not that easy. I can’t have you guys around my place either way.”
“Why is that?”
“It’s complicated. You don’t know me.”
“Then let us.”
“I just can’t.”
I threw my cigarette on the ground and went back into the club. When I got in they had brought us our spirits and I soon found myself very, very drunk and in the corner of the club with no other than Niall Horan. I was sitting with my legs over his lap and he was holding me there. I don’t remember much of what I said, but I do remember one conversation we had.
“What were you doing in Camden when I found your phone?”
“I was told you and Harry were there, and I’m a part of a challenge.”
“Yeah so, how’s it going so far?”
“I finished it with a few months to spare.”
“What was the challenge?”
“Meeting you and the rest of the band.”
“It’s what I do Niall and that party you got me into the other day made me finish my challenge.”
“How did you know Liam already?”
“We’ve met plenty of times for the past year. I’m friends with Andy.”
“And how did you meet him?”
“We partied at this club together back in the days. It’s here I met Liam as well.”
I messed with his hair and smiled all over my face.
“How old are you?”
“I’m 20. Soon to be 21, just a few weeks younger than you.”
He smiled down at me and made sure I didn’t fall long, because I was too drunk to really control my body.
“Why have you been following me around Niall? Why were you so eager to come here tonight and spend time with me?”
“You just seem different.”
“I’ll let you down you know that right?”
“I don’t think you could ever do that.”
“I have secrets. Big secrets, some I would never share with anyone. I can break you down just by saying everything there is to know about me. I’m not worth whatever you’re trying to do.”
“I don’t think I understand.”
“Let me show you sometime, but promise you won’t hate me when I do?”
He leaned in to kiss me, and that’s when I took my legs away from his and got up from where we were sitting.
“I’m sorry. I’ve got to go.”
“But you can’t drive in that condition.”
“I’ll take a cab.”
“Diana don’t go.”
“I have to. I’m sorry. Text me and I’ll see you around sometime. Sooner than you think.”
I ran out of the club without saying goodbye to anyone. Got my stuff from the wardrobe and then took a cab to the apartment. I was home before I even noticed I had left and went to bed with a strange feeling inside. Something that wouldn’t just go away right away.
Been away for the weekend with a few mates of mine, but I'll come back and get some writing done over the next week time, but I will be going away next weekend as well. Sorry, hope you can forgive me. Will update as much as possible.
Thanks for the support so far. xx
